Asheville does not need another hotel, it needs the office spaces that the Flat Iron provides for small businesses to continue to thrive for the residents.

Worst possible decision would be to allow the FlatIRon building to turn into a hotel with NO PARKING. We don't need another hotel downtown and this one is in the middle of down town so this should be a non starter.

I grew up living in Asheville, and have despised traveling downtown for the past few years because of the increase in tourism, and this stems strongly from the constant building of hotels. Asheville is a wonderful city, and I love it with every ounce of my being, but this is completely unnecessary and the city council should know that. There are ENOUGH hotels! Stop building hotels, because before you know it Asheville will be known as “hotel city”.

I am against this project because there are not enough parking spaces now downtown, and this project will remove on-street spaces as well as county garage spots, and still not have adequate spaces for its many proposed employees.
