Don't ruin this historic land mark for another @#&+*#hotel. Do you think that people will come here to see new hotels? No they have made enough impact on the city's skyline. Support local bed and breakfast and air B&Bs.

Another hotel will contribute nothing to Asheville save for more traffic, more strain on local service industry workers, Higher cost of living, & another nail in the local culture of asheville.
Building another hotel will force the very same shops & restaurants that bring people to asheville.
We don't need a hotel & the breweries they bring. Invest in something sustainable for the people who actually live here & drive the economy, not some tourist who will leave within the week.

Asheville downtown is a lovely place as it is and all the construction is truly not needed. What Asheville does need is more parking spaces. Have a great day

There has to be another answer for other possibility’s? It’s been Maintaining for many years.

Hotels are having a hard time filling up currently. The demand will not catch up to the supplybfor a long time. There are enough hotels. Also not very community focused to displace local businesses from that building.

We need to wait and see what kind of saturation the Arras is going to bring into downtown, along with the several other proposed/approved hotels in and around the downtown area. Our town can only sustain so much.
We should be trying to bring in businesses that cater to families, there is very little for children to do in downtown, and people will only come back so often for restaurants and breweries.
Look at St Louis City Museum for a good example of the type of kid-centric activities/businesses we should be investing in...

I have worked closely within the flat iron building and taking this landmark away from the citizens is a disgrace. Give us our city back!

Another hotel is absolutely the last thing Asheville needs. Parking is already scarce enough as it is. This will make the problem worse. The Flatiron is an iconic building. Please don't turn it into another hotel.
