Save Lives - Get rid of the S curve, Highway 70 @ Wentzville

I live right by the S curve in the 80’s and 90’s. We saw the traffic backed up one night on 70. I semi jack knifed in the median and slammed into the middle concrete pillar. Hours later a crane pulled the semi cab that was totally wrapped around the pillar off and a body fell out in three pieces. We watched the whole thing. I will never forget it.

There seems to always be an accident here. It needs to be fixed.

I always take innerstate road instead of the highway because the traffic is so bad on the s curve.

Needed to be fixed years ago

This needs to change for everyones safety, i have experienced many close calls trying to get off the highway as its backed up. I will soon have 2 young drivers and this a big concern as they are coming home to Wentzville.

Lower the speed limit to begin with.

I'm soo glad this was started! My son and his childhood best friend were killed there. The white vehicle in this picture is the full size pickup he was driving.

Fix it.

Hwy needs to be fixed and made 3 lanes all the way to Warrenton, if not farther. Way to much traffic for an old 2 lane hwy. And only more future traffic to come.

Please find a way to fix this bad area.

I've been saying this for a long time. There is not enough distance between the exit and on ramps of Hwy 40 the exit for Z and Wentzville Pkwy. It's on a curve to top it off!

This same spot has caused many accidents including one that took the life of a very dear friend.

Time to get rid of the S turn

Get rid of it. It's too dangerous.

I drive to lake st. Louis from Warrenton everyday. I actually have decided to take the back roads to and from work because of the traffic that piles up on this turn, especially when cars are coming onto the highway from the ramp. Its dangerous and i refuse to put my families life in danger to go from point A-B. Please take this petition into consideration.
