Fix the Garden Oaks Alleyways

My husband and I own an investment property that is affected by the common drive. Our current tenants are going to be purchasing a home in the spring and cited the driveway as the reason they would not consider buying our house when we offered to sell it to them. Can't say that I blame them. I can think of only one thing to compare the experience to when driving down the alley: riding a mechanical bull.

This issue not only impacts the property values within the Garden Oaks subdivision but the entire city of Maumelle. This issue should not be so difficult to resolve and can be resolved when people decide to do so. City officials it's time to stop finding ways to avoid correcting this issue and begin finding a solution.

Thank you for your efforts with this situation. I live at 71 Rolling Oaks and have had to use the alley way to access my home for 15 years now. I have tried to patch parts in the past but the task is too large for this type of fix. I am very pleased that this is in the works.

Another reason to fix the alleys is health issues. My husband has severe back pain. When we go over the bumps it puts him in extreme pain and he cringes in pain, even though I try to take them very slowly.

It is deeply disappointing to me that these residents are being treated this way. How on earth can we change the status of this property? And who is next??

Hopes that we can all pull together as a community and get this matter resolved.

There are other important issues that face my neighbors having water come into their houses. If Maumelle wants a pristine community we need a few repairs made.

Definitely need a change! Surprised our city hasn't made changes to this ridiculous situation. I'm a firm believer if we take care of each-other, the group (city) as a whole will prosper with a greater outcome than ignoring the issue.

It is my hope that the city of Maumelle - city council finally realizes that a solution is necessary and long over due. I must thank Mr Lewis for his leadership in this matter. Had it not been for Mr Lewis' support the city council once again would have found the way to ivade a solution to a legitimate problem affecting citizens of this community.

Thanks for helping our neighborhood! Would love to hear about the drainage ditch behind Garden Oaks repairs in the near future.

If the city can pay $15,000 to pay off women Joshua Claussen sexually harassed, they can take care of the neighborhoods also!!!

Its a shame a city will not support its people. That they make deals to help developers and end up hurt its citizens. Shame on you Maumelle.
