Fix Reading's Large Volume Gas Leaks!

What a shame that South Main Street is finally paved to already be dug up at least 5 times to repair leaks. I've reported smelling gas between the Avon St. Condos and Perfectos several times and it continue to emanate gas.

For years there has been a gas odor emanating from the sewer on the corner of Woburn and Sanborn Streets. There's a new odor of gas at the intersection of Linden and Woburn Streets. Please fix these!

I smell gas frequently but the issue isn’t resolved. Nothing is found when National Grid comes out. Seems strange

Please fix the gas leak in town and our street too!!

Thank you for calling this system-wide problem to the attention of people who are in a position to do something about it. A lovely spruce tree at the corner of our property suffered for years until a many-times-reported gas leak was finally fixed.

I support the initiative to have an independent audit of gas leaks is Reading, although I think that National Grid is in the process of repairing the problem as evidenced by the work in process on Pearl St. and other streets in town.

Fix the problem.

Stop passing the "lost gas" cost on to the consumers! Fix the leaks!

Do we need to wait for an explosion before "something is done"? Why not be smart and be proactive. Regular maintenance only makes sense for the safety and health of everyone.

We shouldn't need to sign a petition to make sure utilities and other companies behave in a socially responsible way. Industry needs to focus on common good and not profits. That said. Time to force the issue and be proactive.

This lack of common sense regulation and business ethics should be addressed ASAP! Not to mention the impact on our atmosphere and global warming!
