I understand why these period 6 rules were enforced, but many students have several classes or clubs they wish to stay after for, so only being able to stay in one class the entire period keeps them from getting all the help they need in all of their classes. They may only need help on one question, but then can't go to another class after because they are stuck in the class they first went to. Also, students shouldn't be forced to sit outside in the cold for their parents to come pick them up. Parents may be late due to traffic or picking up kids from other schools, so the students should not be punished for their parents not being able to pick them up within the 6 minutes between period 5 and period 6.

I'm trying to check grades with my teachers after school and go to different meetings at school and get help with things but I'm not able to check my grades and fix them because I can't leave the classroom and my grades are falling behind.

I understand that, over the course of many years, students have abused sixth period. While I feel that it is understandable to make sure kids are at least somewhere reasonable after school, you should at the least make it so that you can go to multiple classes or leave early if your work is done early, as for some kids it is necessary to get home earlier due to other responsibilities such as taking care of younger children, helping around the house, or taking care of pets.
If I can get home early, I will. When doing test corrections especially, I'm not allowed to have technology out. So much of my homework is on technology that if I finish early, I'm just going to have to sit there and wair, unproductively.

This rule does not show any empathy towards students busy schedules and makes getting further help in certain subjects a lot harder.
