Stop the insanity
Make the council including the mayor accountable in fixing the issue practically and not by socially reengineering the solution by offering bike lanes and metro passes
This is no manhattan with a bevy of public transportation choices. Those were eliminated in the fifties by big oil companies in southern california to promote the automobile by building a mass of freeways with interconnecting roads
Have council provide a practical solution or vote them all out in the next election. Thats why we elected them. To hold them accountable in fixing problems

Fix the parking situation please! Sometimes i have to drive in circles for hours to find parking. As someone who lives in long beach, this is a very time consuming and frustrating situation.

Parking in certain areas of the city are heavily compromised. I've noticed it in the corridor between Alamitos Avenue and Redondo, in particular. People with garages and parking spaces do fine--if they have one car. This is an old town, and who'da thunk that it would have become so impacted with personal vehicles? If there could be a solution, particularly if it involved purchasing parking spaces, it could generate income for the city and take a load off the minds of commuters at the same time.

Paint hash marks on ALL residential streets, on the entire street, with parallel parking. Too many losers hot space to save parking spots. Consider building parking ramps on the edges of downtown for residents to park for a very small rental fee.

DTLB has become too challanging to find parking which discourages me from staying and spending money at all the new businesses there. In addition, in the 30 years I've been in my Wrigley home, many neighbors with garages and driveways take multiple street spaces (as much as 5 vehicles per house). We need to consider permits and household limits on street parking.

I have lived in a lot of impacted municipal cities before, Long Beach Parking and it's income mongering parking enforcement, are by far the worst, mainly due to blatant municipal management apathy, procrastination, and a denial that residential street side parking has not complied with developmental adjustment (probably kickback greed)

Tenants complain there's no parking and it's getting worse. There's no Plan on managing parking? This is troubling to hear.

As the city turns more owned property to build more and provide less parking for these new builds, the city needs to look at the population in the area and get a BETTER grasp on the impact it will make for neighbors and visitors to Long Beach. Older neighborhoods do not have enough available free space. Getting feedback from those that live here is essential. Where is the "plan"?

Parking is a nightmare, if I go somewhere I'm always in a hurry to be home by 3:30pm , and weekends for get it I feel like a prisoner I won't dare go anywhere for fear of not having parking when I get back. I'm disabled and had a blue crub put in but everyone who has a plaque parks there. This has been this way for the ten years that I've lived here. It's ashame to have to live this way.

Where I live people have multiple cars and some they do not drive, they just move from one side of the street to the other on street cleaning day. Then you have the one that are running a auto repair shop out of their home and store multiple car on our street when they live a block over. They store the cars some of them for weeks on our street. Some set there there for days with for sale signs. Something needs to be done about these offenders.

I live near downtown and parking is an issue if I invite people over.
