I live nearby downtown in Ocean blvd. My block is considered within the business neighborhood even when there is barely just 1 office. Therefore, we have to pay for street parking until 9pm even on holidays. Still, my car is more secure parked on the street than in the Pike Parking structure, where my car was vandalized twice in a year.

I live at 1007 E Ocean blvd. Parking is so awful that I can not wait to move inland. Know that I am across from beach but it so crazy every nite.

Parking is a huge problem. Residents should have priority on parking. They should do what they do in San Francisco in fishermans Wharf. Giving residents that live in the area stickers, or permits allowing them to park in designated areas. With all the events Long Beach has in downtown and the Grand Prix coming every year. We should be able to get organized and have the parking situation fixed. All these events affect residents, for we struggle to find parking. We should be priority because we live here in our city.

We need parking spot lines painted in our streets. People do not know how to park parallel and will leave so much space between vehicles. That is my main complaint where I live in the downtown area.

Many evenings I circle my neighborhood waiting for someone to leave. This is time that could be spent taking care of responsibilities or doing things that I enjoy.

No parking and also people save parking by taking extra space, butting a motorcycle and moving it when they need parking, buying junk cars just to gave to move and save parking list goes on.

I have lived on the 2100 block of 6th Street for 19 years. Over the last three years now parking has become so impacted that on street sweeping days I have to leave work early to ensure a parking space. I rarely go out in the evening or have to pay for Uber so I don't have to walk home several blocks late at night feeling unsafe. In short, my quality of life has been sorely impacted by this parking shortage. Long Beach needs solutions.

Please fix this parking problem ASAP. Our public transit isn't good enough to allow us to not have cars. I have family in Orange County; getting there by transit is not possible or reasonable. Getting to LA on transit takes two hours as opposed to 45 min to 1 hr with traffic. We need parking that MAKES SENSE.

I have to park over a mile from my house w a park between me n my home every night in a neighborhood telling me to buy pepper spray or an illegal gun to protect myself as a single female. Plus, I've already had my spare tire stolen while leaving it parked out on these dangerous streets. Tires can be replaced! My life cannot! Uber is the other option at over $5/night to get to my home which is RIDICULOUS!
