Let's decide to ensure that our gorgeous community has adequate parking and mobility (including pedestrian, bicycle, auto, transit). We can decide this NOW-- We really do NOT want to become Manhattan.... lovely for them, but not what we want here!

Living just east of Alamitos Beach and half a block from the business lined corridor of Broadway, we also suffer from patrons of businesses on the avenues where there are ample space for two vehicles, people will park in the middle not leaving room for an average or small vehicle to park. Many neighborhoods have parking stripes on the pavement and would help in our neighborhood too. Also, businesses with parking lots could offer parking (even with a fee) between non- business operating hours. Double lanes between Temple and Redondo were recently reduced to single lanes in each direction. New stripes were layed way too close to curb parking, making it difficult to enter/exit vehicle and leaving a huge empty turn lane. I know the city did this to reduce the speed of traffic in this portion. I don't think diagonal parking was considered, even if one side of the Broadway. I hope these comments and suggestion do not fall onto deaf ears. Love Long Beach, dislike the parking for self and friends visiting.

I love my neighborhood and its attractions but the parking is causing me to consider relocation immediately. I spend upwards of 2 hours sometimes after work looking for a spot within a mile of my home. This is ridiculous!

Out with 4am-8am street sweeping!!! It's an attack on those who earn less! If you don't believe me head on over to the Belmont shore area and I assure you that you will not find such an ungodly hour in their neighborhood!!!!!

I live in the alamitos beach area and though I love where I live, the parking is horrendous. I feel like many people who don't even live in this area park here to go to the beach, grand prix, lb pride, and to go to the bars. As someone who pays rent, I feel like I should be able to come home after a long day of work and not have a problem finding somewhere to park. I think this area should have street parking permits just like some areas in West Hollywood.

This is a huge problem for older residents who rely on caregivers. There is nowhere for them to park. Meanwhile the city continues the "bike friendly" platform that means empty lanes (the cyclists continue using the sidewalks). City officials need to get into the real world, Long Beach as it is today, not some dream of how they would like it to be.

Resident permits should be issued like in other cities. I see many cars parked illegally for more than 72 hours. People are using street parking as their personal driveways.

The city must rake in the dough with parking tickets in this area so I have a feeling there will be little to no action taken to correct this issue. Still, there's no shame in asking for help. Maybe this will reach the right person and we'll get lucky.

I live near Ocean & Cherry. The plans for the closing of 1st and 2nd street between Cherry and Junipero is absolutely ridiculous. Losing that many parking spots in this area will make parking impossible. I agree with the statement that the City is just making revenue on the parking tickets. $49 per ticket. This is literally Robbery of it own Citizens. How can they continue this. I also live in an apartment unit with 12 units and 6 parking garages. Unbelievable that they do not take action for the citizens of its own city. Please fix this

This is a very important issue for my family. We love our neighborhood and wish that a solution for our lack of parking can be found. We have noticed how horrible it's become over the years.

I live on Broadway and Alamitos and there is never any parking on the streets when i return home from work at 8 pm.. I circle around the block for 45 minutes or more looking for parking. I am do not move my car on the weekends because I know I will not be able to find a parking spot after 5 pm. I feel like I am a hermit living in my own neighborhood. please fix the parking situation.

the parking tickets I have paid is shameful. For the city of LB to take advantage of our difficult situation and unleash those ticket givers in the middle of the night is a crime...
Glad this is finally being addressed.
