I am a home owner in Alamitos Beach and I can not even have a dinner party because there is no parking for my guests. I try to exit the alley and there are cars blocking the driveway, the alley is littered with people parking illegally making it difficult to maneuver around them. Please implement a plan.

I am a condo owner in the Alamitos Beach area, and the parking situation is simply horrendous. My tenant keeps his bike in his car because sometimes the parking spot he finds is two miles away and so he parks - then bikes home.

When recommending the city as a place to travel or a place to live, parking is an unavoidable subject. It's a deciding factor. The perceived criminality, too, of ticket sweeps for parking violations makes the situation all the more maddening. Seriously. You want to live in a place that you feel is not out to get you. I'd rather them tax me $50 from my paycheck as a perverse type of rental fee than pay for parking tickets once each month; this would be more just. Seriously.

Ways to add parking - add diagonal parking. Cite motorcyles parking in whole spots - dedicate sections for them by intersections

If you complain about parking...........your told to take public transportation......that only works in good cities (such as san francisco)....where there more timely transportation. .......get off one and on another in 5 to 10 min..

struggle to find a street parking everyday, you are forced to fight with neighbors, one neighbor report me to get a ticket at 9PM because I parked on red-line - not I want to but the Los Atlomos beach parking was closed for construction which I did paid for permit on every January.

I live in the East Villiage, and while I am lucky to have a parking spot, I realize how horrible the situation has become. The 2 hour parking on Atlantic really should allow for preferential parking with a permit for residents/resident guests. Also, I feel that the city should purchase the empty lot on the corner of 4th & Atlantic and build a parking structure. That way residents can pay a monthly fee and visitors can pay a day rate.

I don't necessarily live in this area but the past couple days i have seen how annoying it is to park in this area and how frustrating it must be for people that live in this area to actually find parking! They need to create designated parking for residents or make reservations or something to guarantee they get a spot when they get home!

I fully support the efforts and commitments needed to address the parking problems faced by a large megority of this who live in the downtown area. Action needs to be taken.

I'm tired of driving around for 30mins just to park a mile from where I live.

I have been a resident of this city for 16 years now and have witnessed firsthand the parking issue go from bad to worse. We are in desperate need of a cohesive plan to make a difference. No more grabbing aimlessly in the dark. We have a problem and we can change things together. All we need is the support of the city and its fair people.
