Long beach is filled with apartment complexes and there is not enough parking for it i get tickets everyday because there is no where to park. Its upsetting that parking enforcement comes to the same areas really early in the morning because they know already that parking is bad and its always the same parking enforcement officer something needs to be done about this.

This shouldn’t be an ongoing issue – the city leaders, City Council and the planning commission have dropped the ball and now it’s time to take responsibility and do something about it. The residents of this city and their friends and family urgently need a positive change in a comprehensive parking plan. It is your responsibility to review our current parking requirements NOW and implement changes NOW. The residents of this city are telling you that it is NOT OK that several large new developments will soon be approved with inadequate parking. Again, this is NOT OK ANYMORE! Are you listening? What are you going to do about it?

That empty lot you mentioned will soon be a 77 unit apartment building without even enough parking for its own residents. More buildings are coming.

I live on Lime and 4th street. I have 2 kids and when we get home around 7pm, it takes atleast 15-30 extra driving around looking for parking. Its stupid to have this problem. Especially, on Atlantic and 4th there is a huge empty lot. Why dont tehy building a parking strutuce there and charge for parking. I would pay, even 20-30 monthly. WHY NOT? it bets driving around for parking and wasting that gas.

I recently moved from LA to LB... I'm ready to move back! The parking situation in Long Beach is terrible; much worse than LA.

It is difficult to invite someone to come downtown for lunch or dinner due to lack of parking. This also hurts downtown businesses.

The parking problem in down town Long Beach has become a huge problem for residents as well as businesses. The parking problem requires immediate and serious attention by our elected officials. Please address this very important issue and stop allowing developments in down town without the appropriate amount of accessable and affordable parking spaces!

The parking situation is ridiculous i spend up to 45mins looking for parking at night. Then i gotta get up early to move my vehicle so i dont get a ticket. Then i spend another 45 mins looking for somewhere to park. I work nights so this has completely damaged my sleep patterns and affects my production both personally and while at work. Plz we need parking structures not just for cars but commercial i work for spectrum cable and they let us bring our work vehicles home. My cell phone number 562-340-3824

We need improved parking conditions in this area. The parking situation is critical enough as it is right now. The added apartment and condo proposals are only adding to an already over crowded parking situation. People in this area have become a prisoner in their home not wanting to leave at night as to not lose their parking space. It impacts our guests wanting to come by at certain times for fear of the parking situation. its a 1000 times worse here than Belmont shore.

How about moving Bus stops to main streets rather than being in a residential streets. Yes it is convenient for some but there can be other options. Also our street is extra-wide maybe parallel parking can be updated to a diagonal street parking.

A lot of heartache would be diminished if people could park in EMPTY PARKING LOTS OF GROCERY STORES .AT LEAST OVER NIGHT. I SEE SO MANY LOTS AT NIGHT EMPTY AND YOU CANT PARK THERE. WHY????? AND WHY SO MUCH JUST TO PARK IN A LOT. SOME PLACES COST 150.00 A MONTH. GREED!!!!!!

When you see 5 parking enforcement vehicles waiting 5 minutes before a street sweeping cycle goes in effect so that they can ticket as many cars as possible, as quickly as possible- it's obvious the city is addicted to citation fueled income pouring into their pockets at the expense of hard working and honest people. It's time to challenge our local government, vote out the abusers and get some people ready to make changes in the best interests of their citizens.
