I am a female (22) that lives on Appleton and Bonito. Parking has impacted my life in a bad way. I am constantly in a rush to get home because of parking. I feel like I cannot do or go anywhere because I will lose my spot, then spend hours looking for somewhere else to park. I am a full time employee (9:00-5:00) and go to school at night (6:00-10:30) by the time I get home it has taken over an hour to find parking. Its almost midnight and I'm scared to walk to my apartment at night by myself. Especially if I have a really unlucky night and I have to walk almost a mile to get home! Another thing that came to mind is people who have handicap permits are NEVER in a designated handicap spot. They are ALWAYS empty, especially at night!

we need parking relief. I am resorted to paying $180 so I can have a parking spot available to me daily. This is maddening and frustrating when I pay tax dollars as a consumer and home owner.

the parking is a mess in downtown long beach, it seems that we care about riding bikes instead of owners having a place to park. do you want owners here to live because parking is a BIG MESS AND MUST BE FIXED. Since we have bike lanes will they get tickets when they ride on the curb. also why bike lanes when we have a beach with bike paths very safe and great views

We want free street parking on 4th and 5th Streets west of Pine Avenue. Many other adjacent streets do NOT have parking meters that are outrageously expensive in this parking impacted neighborhood.

It's becoming an annoyance with the lack of parking in DDLB. The City is allowing one too many events where it causes residents to lose parking on the streets due to street bike events and such. My family can hardly ever visit me because of the issue with parking. You City officials need to start dealing with the problem.

I do not understand how the city could have granted permission to build so many apartment buildings in an area without a plan for parking accommodation for ALL its tenants. The parking situation is bad on a regular basis but on street cleaning and special occasions (Toyota Prix, LGBTQ parade, marathon, street repairs etc.) parking becomes impossible. Additionally, I have notice that restaurants have expanded their sitting space to the street thus, taking 2-3 parking spaces. The parking violations, the business permits must be providing the city a lot of profit. I wonder what is the money being used for? The colorful sidewalks are cute but I would rather have peace of mind knowing that I will find parking near my apartment at any time I come home. Frustrated Tenant

People parking in front of my building on 3rd Street actually live on Broadway. Also, my neighbor has 7 cars that they move from one side of the street to the other, and only 2 drivers.

I lived in the area for over 30 years. I had parking for me in my building, I never had guests because the parking was so bad. And now I understand...I don't go back to visit my friends because it is so hard to find a place to park.

I have been a resident of Long Beach for over 20 years and in that time I have seen the parking go from bad to worse. I know for a fact that we would ALL benefit from having a plan to fix this issue that we have let deteriorate over the years. Please give us a plan!

There sould just be all slants in relations to parking and that would eliminate the saving parking by people parking for multiple car park. If you are not there to get parking you should not save a spot for someone who is on the way and not looking. You feel like a buzzard circling for the open spot versus death of your prey.

Parking in my neighborhood has negatively impacted my life in various ways. Not only is it a waste of time, but it is incredible dangerous to have so many cars looking for parking simultaneously. Something needs to be done immediately.
