I live in the first district and I'm very disappointed in my councilwoman unfortunately she seems like a yes person for Garcia and that's it she knows about the parking situation and still hasn't done anything down here either I work in the bluff area been working there for 4 years and the parking around there is just as bad I admire Jason Harris for what he's doing. Because how about the parking situation is downtown I'm not able to go to any events I have to make sure my car is parked by no later than 730 if I want to find parking close to where I live

Gooood luck to the future residents that will live in the new fancy high rise condo planned to go up next to Acres Of Books.... right across the street from the atrociously loud post office loading docks!! "Ahh Modern Urban living at it's finest at some ridiculous amount a month."
What a laugh! Who would buy those? Just because LBC itself is a walk/bike/rail convenient city, doesn't mean all of CA is. Californian's are born and bred car owners. We have, and still currently live in a STATE where cars are the only general/overall mode of transportation. Our cities are widely spread out and the rails are only just expanding. It will take years to expand further if at all? They don't even really travel south to OC and beyond due to Amtrack conflicts. It will be a long time until ALL of California is geared for it's nickel and dimed residents to be "car-less" (which would be nice!) Until then, cars are still a must for the majority of California's transportation. Everyone commutes to work -dummies. FIX THIS before it's too late.
-Soon the city lot on 3rd and Elm will be gone, entirely. (Where I pay big bucks a month to park!! GRRR!) I'll have to move eventually. -Thank god I rent and do not own in DTLB! I'd never sell my apt w/o available parking.

That pkg structure on 4th &Elm is owned by the post office for their workers to park. I live next to it, and It seems half empty most the time, not to mention, its very dirty & ugly! They could possibly rent half the garage to residents or clean it up and give it a paint job, at least! It's hideous. And so is the noise from the PO loading docks! 3 am banging and slamming, ZERO PEACE THERE! - Gooood luck to the future residents that will live in the new fancy high rise planned to go up next to Acres Of Books right across the street from those loading docks!! -Soon the city lot on 3rd and Elm will be gone, entirely. (Where I park!! GRRR!)

LongBeach Parking is by far the worst in southern Ca. I am considering leaving LB permanently because it is not safe to have to park your car 2 to 3 blocks away from your home. Not safe at all!

build parking down on the beach or take the streets that are short like esperanza to third st. and build high rise parking. The city already has an easement so they wouldn't have to buy the land.

The parking situation in DTLB is a disaster. Downtown Small business will be killed if Long Beach continues to let developers get away with substandard levels of Parking.

I am also a resident of the Downtown Long Beach Area. Parking has been such an inconvenience. I can only imagine the profits City of Long Beach makes in parking citations due to the lack and availability of parking for Long beach residents. With those profits City of Long Beach should build parking lots. There needs to be a better plan in place to control parking to make it a more attracting place not only to live but for our tourists.

Predatory parking enforcement by a city to its residents is not just wrong its illegal. We need a class action lawsuit against the City of Long Beach. Why don't we just crowed fund it??

I live in downtown Long Beach, in a charming older building and street parking is a nightmare. We need an intelligent realistic affordable parking solution now. The East Village and most of downtown is experiencing amazing growth and revitalization, parking is an essential component to the continuation of growth.
