I love long beach, but we all know parking is a issue. Let's not let it get any worse!

This problem is not only in Downtown/Alamitos Beach area but also a couple of block up north from that, in the Wriggly area. Parking is HORRIBLE ... After 8:00pm, on sweeper days, I have spent 1hr+ looking for parking. It is RIDICULOUS !! I am a student and part time employee and this is not an issue I want to face after a long day at school/work. I have parked 10+ minutes away from my apartment, and at night, this is not the safest thing to do. This has to get fixed!

Obviously the people who made all these 2 hour parking, 4am street sweeper rules don't live here and have to deal with this ridiculous parking situation. We need to fix this!

I've lived in long beach for about 3 years now and I love it. I just recently moved downtown and I've racked up tickets due to the packing situation here. Tuesday's and Wednesday's are the worst. Looking for a parking spot for over an hour is ridiculous. Finally finding a parking spot just to find out is street cleaning between 4am-8am is maddening!!! The city is taking advantage of their residents and haven't done much about it. Come on long beach!

Please make sure there is parking to get to the businesses. I can walk to Pine Ave & appreciate the 2 hours free parking there. But I don't go to the east village area often because of lack of parking.

Parking is ridiculous here. I live in a historical building without parking so I have no choice but to try and find a spot or pay for monthly parking. Monthly parking is also going up and I'm worried what it will be like next year. Parking spots on my street was reduced to make way for extended patios for 2 restaurants.

To be honest the parking is a big pain in the neck, in my neighborhood, I wish the city could force apartment owners to legally assign parking spaces to all renters, and the city stop praying on car owners for citations, is just insane seeing parking enforcement writing citations at 2 or 5 am in the morning, on people parking on drive ways, and so and forth, thanks for taking action on this matter and I wish we can find a solution, for this terrible situation.

I can't ever have people over because there is literally NO WHERE for them to park, even my handicapped friend.

In my neighborhood around 4th and Walnut people are parking incorrectly just to save spots for their loved ones later on. This presents a real problem, and having the park three or four blocks away from your own house because people are parking just far enough apart to save two places is ridiculous. Maybe instead of building up another apartment building you could just have parking lots in residential areas...

Parking permits for residential areas would be ideal, and would cut down on illegal overcrowding of residences.

It seems that the city is selling off the former redevelopment properties as fast as they can. And in many cases,some of those properties include land that is being used for parking. I see no adequate plans to replace the parking. I will concede that impacted parking is an issue, not only in Long Beach, but throughout the US and many parts of the world. However, without a comprehensive parking plan we will adversely impact our growth.
The city cannot continue to "cave in" to developers (think the Current) who threaten they will walk if they cannot get reduced parking requirements. Tell them to walk and you will find replacement developers.

I live on E. 2nd and Falcon, and if I don't get home before at least 4:00pm, parking is a nightmare.
