I'm a frequent visitor to Long Beach visiting my daughter and her family. To find a parking is like winning the lottery, one in a million. It's a serious PROMBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.

We need street parking. I've been a home owner in downtown for 14 years. I spend $100.00 a month on a secured parking place. Many people who rent here can not afford that conscience . When I lived in LA home owners and subaqueouly the renters had access to a permit to park in their neighborhood . I know that LBC makes a lot of revenue on parking tickets. As a city we should not take advantage of the poor and give special interests leeway to have not penough parking in their newly built home and work structures. The current still has no businesses in the lower part of the structure and the city is going on supporting more home work structures in down town. We are saturated now. Wake up. Jim Grce

well a lot of the people on my street own three to five cars and they don't even operate they literally have them sitting there collecting dust. Also the same people double park those cars for their running cars and that's not right, no one should have to park 4-5 blocks away from home after work.

Designating parking "slots," changing from parallel to front-in slots, resident parking permits and reducing the excessive amount of "red" curbs would all be helpful. Thank you for looking into this.

Require landlords to rent their garages for parking, not storage

More parking needed, especially around apartment buildings.

In only two years of living in Long Beach I have seen vast deterioration in conditions. Something has to be done. Those who live here love this city; but the parking is absolutely painful.

Yes! We. Need. A. Parking. Solution!!! Time and time again, one car will take up space enough for 2 cars to park; meanwhile, leaving the rest of us searching and searching, ultimately, becoming desperate and parking in the red zones or otherwise and getting a ticket for it. I can recall seeing one car parked in the red on one side of the street; while another car on the opposite side took more space than they needed...who got the ticket?! The car parked in the red, of course. Why aren't more and more cars being ticketed who take more space than they need? Why haven't more and more of our tax dollars, or even the money we pay for our tickets, gone to making diagonal white marked spaces or even just white bracketed spaces, in general?! This is a no brainer!!! New developments sure get the green light to start construction, but why aren't their specific parking structures available for us? Why???

On my street , (Walnut and 5th) there are at least three small businesses that have at least 4 vans and 4 passenger cars. There is even a towing company that parks his long bed on our street. AMAZING

Parking here in Downtown Long Beach is Horrible! It's sad when we have to tell our children we can't go somewhere at a certain time because we know when we get back their won't be parking. It's inhumane! Aside from paying Taxes & waisting hours of our time trying to find parking we're trapped in our own home because we're scared to go out knowing their won't be parking. Long Beach should be ashamed! Something needs to be done now.

While I am fairly new to the area it's plain to see that parking is a major issue in the Alamitos Beach area. You have my support to address any and all solutions to this issue.

It's beyond ridiculous the amount of greed we're seeing from the Mayor and City Council...the gentrification of the DTLB area and the sale of parking lots in an already severely lacking in adequate parking for the current citizens.. STOP SELLING OUT DTLB
