Parking is especially difficult for those who have full time jobs. By the time we get home in the evening, there is no where to park. The parking situation works out well for those that live off welfare, for they never have to leave. I think all non-running cars, and cars that have unpaid tickets need to be towed.

The parking is rediculous. I know of a Neighbor who got robbed at 8pm at knifepoint on Olive because she had to park her car 8 blks away. Why don't you guys give preferential parking to residents

Hello, sir/ma, I live on 5th st. Between alamitos and orange ave. this street is very narrow with two way traffic and the worst parking in long beach. I have had my sued view mirror knock- off my vehicle twice and a major scrape on the driver side of my car. Cars race down this street daily at top speed. I pray everday that someone isn't hit, but many car has been hit and run. I am pleading that speed bumps can be put on this street as well as making it an one way street, with parking permits for tenants only. Thanks you for your time and consideration on these matters...

Parking is terrible in the downtown area and surrounding beach areas, after 6pm parking is hard to find and can take 20 minutes to find something along with multiple cars searching as well and double parked. People arent as safe because as narrow streets and driving fast and after 9pm, good luck finding parking within 40 minutes. There needs to be more parking structures and make use of empty parking lots through the night. No excuses.

Parking needs to be fixed, it's gotten and will only get worse unless a plan is created.

The parking in this city stinks! I live on Nebraska Ave. and there's too many people with multiple cars, some running, some not running, that take up too many spaces. Also. many people park in the middle of a space that's made for multiple cars, that really suck's! Something has to be done!

The city should be raising the standards for parking rather than lowering the standards.

I live on Florida where there are Mainely Apartments with too few parking spaces for apartments. I have several neighbor on this block that have up to six cars a piece most that don't work and simply take up space getting moved from one side of the street to the other for street sweeping . In such a densely populated area I think there needs to be a movement for permit parking only.

I do not know why City of Long Beach does not want to consider parking & expanding on parking. Many major cities are trying to expand park but Long Beach. It is not quantum physics, it is not that complicated. Make more parking, build parking structures & make sure that every time there is a new building that they have to accomidate for parking. IT'S THAT SIMPLE!!!!!!

Several months ago during "Beach Streets" the city closed many impacted streets to parking. I understand that this is an e vent that the city gets behind, but one of those streets was 2nd street where I pay the city to go to ceramics, I usually carry many pounds of materials, so getting to class became difficult. I complained and was told off by city officials for that complaint. Very few bicyclists were using 2nd street where we needed to park for our class. I just now on another post on this site asked the officals to be careful about cutting parking on impacted streets and whoever is in charge closed the comments. I am starting to believe our city dose not care about impacted streets, at least they don't want my comments.

I am chair of board at 545 chestnut in wilmore district.. our parking is horrendous. there isnt enough parking spots and there is this ridiculous time street sweepers come at 4am to make worse an already terrible situation. For one, there is too much red curb.. i have never in my life ever seen a firetruck pull into a red curb, so please. they park in the street and take an entire lane up. lets lessen the amount of red in long beach to free up parking. also, if we let cars park head in to the curb on both sides, that would allow much more parking. and cars that are not residents should be parking in metered or public parking lots, not in residential areas. many people come to long beach for the events, but we cannot give away the little parking we have. residents should have parking stickers to park in non metered, residential areas. and please get rid of the cars who have expired plates, too many tickets, or cars that are inoperable. they just move from one spot to another and dont give up the parking sports all week and never move because they dont work or are illegal. all these things would free up so many spaces. lets be creative, proactive, and conscientious of lb residents and their parking situation.

Parking permits please for residents. No more film companies taking our parking for days while we drive around for over an hour trying to find a spot!

Our parking situation on our street is the worst! People are constantly double parking and once you do finally find parking you don't ever want to leave for fear of loosing it. Parking enforcement doesn't help at all in this situation. They just cite cars on the red but not the double parkers. It should be permitted parking or lines so people know how to park properly.

I can't believe the "city" is actually moving forward with so many high occupancy, high rent projects with inadequate parking. I guess they have never had to drive around looking for someplace to park late at night. STOP THE IRRATIONAL BUILDING!
