I am a 20-year resident of Long Beach and a homeowner. The parking shortage in Alamitos Beach has reached a critical stage. I usually vote based on several issues and party affiliation. This year I will vote for whomever is willing to effectively address the parking problem. Democrat or Republican. I don't care. I understand the rationale for limiting parking, but the current strategies are not working.

Willmore District in need of parking ASAP. The city of Long Beach should be held responsible for the over issuance of approval of multifamily residencies in our community. There is not enough parking in our district someone needs to do something

The new bicycle lanes and middle of the street parking on Broadway are a confusing and dangerous mess. You cannot see anything in the bicycle lane from the street and its frightening to try to make a turn. Cars attempting to back into the middle of the street parking lanes impede traffic and even when driving at a safe slow speed it is unnerving to suddenly see someone in front of you backing up. I often see package delivery trucks parked in the middle of the street because they have no place else to go. Plus there is a loss of parking for the businesses on Broadway and I have pretty much quit going over there. There are so many markings on the street people don't know what to do. All of this makes for a very dangerous situation. SMH.

I well never get out of my car. So. Cal is a car culture. Stop trying to change that. We need parking n streets to drive on. We are born and raised here. Just STOP. Let us grow organically. We well force you out b4 you force us out.
Also thanks for lowering our property value. We need road parking and WATER for your new bldgs that well not help relieve our over priced homes. Stop lying!!!

Please help with the long beach parking. I drive around for up to 30 minutes looking for parking and sometimes have to park over a quarter mile from my house. I am a single girl who leaves for work at 4:30 in the morning. It is scary and unsafe.

Let’s do parking permits and passes for the high density down town area. There’s a problem with people that are not residents taking up spaces.

It's funny that when city officials run for office one of the promises they make but never keep is to fix the parking situation. Even worse Robert Garcia and Lena Gonzalez also feel that adding my condos to the downtown area will make the problem go away. My question is what are they on and where can I buy it? Our useless mayor and councilwoman care nothing about this problem for two reason , they do not live in a parking impacted area and they have been elected. If you want to make changes remove Robert Garcia from office first by voting him out and put some pressure on the porn star looking Lena Gonzalez. I am over lies and more lies....

There is never enough parking on my street and I constantly get tickets for parking in red zones that can fit 3 cars. this is so unfair.

I don't speak on behalf of all the residents of LB. I am just one of many who has noticed our parking situation in LB is not the best. Tickets being handed out unjustly because we simply do not have the space to accommodate all our cars. Hopefully signing this petition is a step in the right direction. Thank you.
