It really is time to sort this out.

Some lights have just been installed on the bridge section over the railway but these only light a small area and therefore make little difference. The solution used needs to rolled out across the full length of both bridges.

It’s a mess and feels abandoned. Not difficult to solve, Amos why has it been ignored for so long?

All attempts to upgrade the lights have failed. There was nothing wrong with the original lights. It’s very dangerous in the dark. You can’t even see where you are walking

These bridges and the paths on the Loughton side get so dark. It’s very intimidating if coming home from work in the dark.

Totally agree with all the points noted. It's very disappointing that despite much campaigning and discussion over several years nothing has changed to improve the situation.

This bridge is completely unsafe for girls and women to cross in the dark. Totally unacceptable.

The lighting is dreadful. Something really needs doing.

When I was pregnant and walking back from work on that bridge I was twice nearly hit by a bike because of the insufficient visibility.

These lights are essential to maintain safety and security. They need to be vandal proof and low maintenance.

We’ve been asking for this for over 8 years and every time we get close the council stop it.

I cycle over this bridge at night. It's so dark and uneven.

This bridge is unusable in the dark, nothing can be seen when you set off to walk across. Cameras as well as lights are needed. Why is the council not doing something about this?

Always been badly lit. Not safe for anyone walking on there own.

This bridge is very badly lit, with the few existing lights actually causing glare to pedestrians to make it harder to see what's ahead. Been a problem for years and needs urgent improvement.
