In 2009 I spoke to Prosper Mayor Ray Smith and was reassured that Fishtrap Road was scheduled to be completely redone by 2014. In 2015 I was told that the funds were reallocated and was re-scheduled for completion by 2017. As we know now instead of repairing the road to 1385. Firshtrap was rerouted to Gee Road leaving the route to Savannah and 1385 in disrepair. Due to the high traffic on 380, the added street lights on Wind Song. New homes and businesses around us. Fishtrap Road has now become a High Traffic route causing rapid erosion making driving it a dangerous condition.
Please sign this petition and voice your Tax Dollars and ask the City of Prosper and Denton Co. to property repave Repair Fishtrap Road as soon as possible.

We just hit 100 signatures and the city cannot ignore us any longer. Prosper officials have lied to us about fixing this death trap for over a decade and it is time they stop shuffling money around while we pay the price for their negligence.

Fish Trap has been resurfaced, rerouted and/or completely redone except between Gee and 1385. It should be a viable alternative to the awful mess on 380 during rush hours and really an alternative any time of the days. Don’t understand why addressing Fish Trap every other part of the road gets more attention and this one section does.
Fishtrap is in terrible shape. The repairs need to be done from 380 to DNT. It’s also very narrow since rock haulers are more frequently using it for transport to new subdivisions.
I have lived in the Prosper area since May of 2015. Since residing here I have had to replace the wheel bearings on my SUV twice due to the conditions of Fishtrap Rd. Something has to be done to remedy this situation permanently. Periodic pothole fills simply doesn't suffice.
Please repair this road asap. It is very unsafe with all of the traffic that has to cross the centerline to avoid potholes. It's also obvious that it needs to be expanded to handle all of the additional traffic that has followed growth in this area.
Last week I was driving to work. I was going the speed limit and hit one of the horrible pot holes and it caused my tire to get a bubble so big, my entire tire had to be replaced. Over $100 for a tire that could’ve been prevented with a fixed road.

Please fix Fishtrap and place a light NOW at Fishtrap and 1385 before more accidents occur. The traffic trying to cross 1385 during rush hour is so bad, and there is never a break to safely cross or turn left from either direction.
