Oppose the unneeded very high density development and three round a bouts.

Let me quote from an article written by Bill Moss in Hendersonville Lightning in March, 2016 entitled "Laurel Park Eyes Growth Along U.S..64". It features quotes from Paul Hansen, councilman and Alison Melnikova, town manager. Seems that Laurel Park's vision is as a mountaintop community connected by greenways -- all while preserving its small town character....... resulting in a long-range plan for gradual change in a targeted area along US-64/Brevard Road to a mix of business and residential......along a westward frontier that's partly outside the town's jurisdiction. Further, the article states that the town is SENSITIVE to the fears of property owners in unincorporated Henderson County. "We don't want our plan to scare the people who live in this area. We're not coming after them.....This is NOT going to change anybody's curent zoning. It encourages future voluntary changes along U.,S. 64"......(changing zoning to mixed use, commercial, etc.). Gee, thanks, Laurel Park powers for not "coming after us" directly, but encouraging growth and zoning changes along 64W only to preserve Laurel Park's rural residential nature. What about those of us along 64W in unincorporated Henderson County (and Horseshoe and Etowah) who moved to this area (or remain in this area) to be in a rural/country living setting ourselves. The Laurel Park Council has us pegged as their collateral damage (decreasingproperty values and quality of life) for the ambitions of Laurel Park and the big money developers Please take a stand to preserve our current country lifestyle and property values. In addition to standing up against Laurel Park's plans for the roundabouts, and the medium-density rental duplexes, both on 64W, stand up against Laurel Park's desire to make us their collateral damage. We must continue to appeal to NCDOT and Henderson County Commission that WE also deserve a voice in decisions that affect 64W. Doyle, your comments are well made! Where

This is a disastrous plan with NO benefits to the current residents of west henderson county. Please DO NOT DO THIS!!!!

Improvements are needed, yes, but designed to maintain the rural community character and slower pace lifestyle of West Henderson County.

This proposed development on US 64 West will contribute to traffic FATALITIES, which will certainly be the sole responsibility of those who approved this high density development. The lack of concern for persons who travel this roadway, in particular those who will enter US 64 West from Hunters Crossing is horrifying and truly disgusting.

The main problem now is with left-turning vehicles, not the volume of traffic. However, Arcadia views will add gridlock to the roundabout problems.

We see no need for any roundabouts, nor the need for The Cottages of Arcadia Views, which will make traffic on 64 miserable.

Stop lights handle traffic and folks know when to go and stop. This plan seems an expensive one with the land to be acquired. How about spending some on fixing the many large pot holes around town?

I oppose the roundabouts. I prefer 3 lanes on 64. I oppose new development until our infrastructure is improved.
