Jason is my hero. I keep hearing stories from friends that go like this:
1) family member has to get tested for a procedure, but has no symptoms. His test comes back positive, and he is notified that all 4 family members in his home are counted as positive for Covid, even though only one was tested.
2) the previous family, outraged, all go get tested. One more tests positive, despite no symptoms, and the whole family gets counted for Covid AGAIN.
3) Two men go to get tested as required for outbreak at work site. They sign in, but decide to go home as line is too long. Both get a call that their tests have come back positive. Family is outraged, they can’t get anyone to change it.
4) A boy commits suicide. His death is counted as Covid, even though he never had one symptom.
5) you can’t go online and see how many people died in 2019... so no way to compare to last year’s deaths.

Socialization is an essential part of kids mental fitness. By keeping kids home we are preventing then from learning and using social skills. We need kids to be in the classroom!

Two days a week is insufficient. We can do more and we can do it safely. If there is a problem - then let’s work the problem if it happens. Let’s not create an alternative long term learning and social problem based upon fear. Let’s find a workable solution.

Our kids NEED to be back in school 5 days per week. Let’s make the right decision. There is overwhelming evidence to support this decision!

We should either have the children stay home in complete isolation or go to school. By separating days nothing is going to be accomplish. The kids will hang out together and if one person comes to school infected, it will get passes around. Please recognize this disease for what it is. It is life on a planet with disease, illness, accidents and death. These risks and realities have been apart of the human existence from the beginning and will never go away.

Splitting things up like this is doing more damage than it will do good. Kids need structure. They don’t respond to parents as well as they do to their teachers.

Our kids NEED school. Especially those coming from lower income, abuse, and poor living conditions. Think about the KIDS! Kids need boundaries and support and for lots of kids that is only found in school.
