Please open school full time. Please listen to our well respected Dr. Hoagland. Teachers are essential workers. If grocery workers, police officers, health care workers, truckers ( you name it) can work, then so can teachers. Why are we walking on eggshells for teachers and not anyone else out working?? They need to get to work full time for the mental health of our kids. Teachers can protect themselves by wearing a mask and personal hygiene just like EVERYONE else working! If masks work .... then you what’s the problem ??

What law are they following that allows the school district to prophylactically go to a hybrid schedule? What criteria did our area meet to change the schedule based on this virus? I want to make sure laws are kept and we aren’t governing by emotions and not listening to the people.

100% our kids needs school 5 days a week! At the very least 4. Intellectually, Mentally and socially our children are suffering. Lagoon as been open all summer for families but our kids can’t have a normal school education ? grocery stores workers, medical workers, postal & ups workers have worked every day since day 1 of this pandemic. Why is education for our children not equally as important? If you’re not comfortable sending your children to school or you prefer online - you have that option!! Let the rest of us who want to send our kids up school have that option too.

We can't sacrifice social and mental health in order to accommodate governmental expectations. I understand that the risk of coronavirus is real, but we also need to move on with our lives and build up natural immunity. We should be aware and careful, but we shouldn't remain fearful and isolated. Children need to be able to attend school in-person to have the optimal learning experience -- intellectually, emotionally, and socially. I am a strong advocate of five-day in-person school for the upcoming school year.

If we had a 5 day school schedule we could learn more and retain that information. We could be more active as well. Also we could be with all of our friends!

It’s ridiculous that almost every other idstrict in the state is at least having students in school for 4 of the days of the week and we’re only doing 2. Especially with sports schedules and such, how can they justify having those up and going every day and not school?

I understand the need to be safe especially in a time like this but it is also bad for our mental health to be split from our friendships. Also I see no reason to not do school everyday with better options or alternatives if certain people feel more safe that way.

I would love to do 5-day in-person school with an option of an online alternative for those high-risk or unable to attend regular school. Students should be involved in deciding how their education and future should play out. I believe this will also relieve stress from teachers who have to teach online and in class as it accommodates for all of the Karen's and students out there.
