Fix Fishers Island's Sidewalks

I do not understand why Southold did not address this problem. They did years ago when the Town Fathers were at Fishers Island for the Annual Meeting and were shown the problems.

Large amounts of taxes leave this island and very little comes back in the form of normal municipal services. The condition of the sidewalks and infrastructure is disgraceful.

High taxpaper, extremely discontent with Sputhhold's shabby concern for Fishers Island given the taxes we contribute. You cannot see the street lines on foggy days. It's dangerous.

The safety of all who use the pathways/sidewalks on the island is at risk because of this disregard for repair and maintenance. The areas in greatest need are those used by children and their safety requires that this become a priority.

Please use money from Southold to repair our infrastructure the sidewalk and other areas are in terrible shape.

As a registered voter and high taxpayer on Fishers Island I find the poor maintenance of basic infrastructure on Fishers Island by the twn of Southold shockingly negligent.

I thought I had already done this. So if I am repeating myself, I apologize. Our property is bordered by two sidewalks. One magnificent. One desperate. The desperate one leads to the Pequot. I frequently see people peering down the desperate one wondering if there really could be a nice restaurant down that busted up sidewalk.

Sidewalks on most of Montauk Ave. need particular attention. Thank you.

Definitely need sidewalks repaired!

Many of the sidewalks are dangerous, especially for older residents and young children. Thank you for repairing them.

Safety is key to our community which spans a myriad of generations. I am hopeful you will respect our needs and act accordingly on behalf of our Island.

As a parent of young children who rely on their bikes when on Fishers, I cannot begin to state how important this is. Both of my girls have had accidents on their bikes due to the conditions of the sidewalks. Pedestrian and child safety are of utmost importance and paving the sidewalks is critical.

A serious health and safety issue

The condition of our sidewalks is inexcusable and dangerous. Please repair them.

No township would allow sidewalks to get as bad as they are on Fishers.

Small children don't have the option of riding their bikes on the side walk. They have to use the road.

Many of the sidewalks are so bad that people have to walk on the streets, which is, of course, is dangerous, especially elderly and young children.

Please repair our sidewalks and roads.
