We have 7mths left on a 90mth loan for 44k which we took out 11/2007 at a variable rate of 8.8percent.I thought variable went up and down, not in Firstplus world. We always get shafted by the banks, they want to try working for a living instead of lying out of their arse,s.

I think this is so unfair and something should be done. I have been paying my loan for the past 7 years and it has barely moved due to the amount of interest I am paying monthly. They should not be allowed to get away with this. Something needs to be done ASAP!!!!

Unhappy rates have not dropped as when I took out loan I was told they were tied to Bank of England rates which I accepted the rate increase but now the rates have dropped. I have only today found out that First Plus failed and have been taken over by Barclays, you would think they should inform you of these LITTLE details.
