As a product of the NB public school system I am appalled . Cabral should have his teaching license revoked.

Completely immoral and unprofessional to post such things on the Internet, but to actually posses such thoughts and beliefs! Lino Cabral is a repulsive human being unworthy of teaching, coaching or mentoring the youth of our Greater New Bedford community. We must work to eradicate racism from our schools and community. He must be fired!

After such an incredible lack of judgment and going public with his special and fragrant kind of stupidity, Mr. Cabral should take ownership of his monumental folly and retire his position at Voc. Please spare us the oncoming negativity which is surely to follow for months if not longer, as this episode lingers and rots in letters to the newspapers, online posts, and the various moronic online forums that give voices to ugliness and barely concealed racism. Please end this immediately, don't hesitate, and spare our school, community, and children.

As the mother of a daughter and son of color who are students at GNBVT I am concerned about the potential risks to them of Mr Cabral's continued employment. Their safety outweighs his right to free speech.

There is no place for within our educational system for archaic, backwards thinkers. This man is not fit to lead, or inspire black kids when he holds them in such a lowly regard. He needs to go.

this is unacceptable and whoever has a child who attends this school (colored or not) should not attend a school with such a racist human being as this man.

Change and leadership begins with those in powerful and visable positions. These are the ones who are most responsible for their words and actions.... How can we expect our youth to take responsibility for their actions if those in power are not? Accountability....

Thats is truly sick.. No teacher like that should be able to work at a multi-racial school. Who knows what that teacher would be capable of doing if any student was to rub her/him the wrong way.

I am appalled by the words of this man, but more so by the ignorance exhibited by those in authority who have and continue to turn a blind eye to this man's actions and choice of words. Fire him already and let there be an inquiry as to why no disciplinary action was taken.

As a graduate of 2012 & being half black myself I'm disgusted by the lack of effort Voc tool on this situation. Isn't there a string no bullying tolerance? Well Mr. Cabral is a bully & shame on Voc for trying to downplay the situation at hand.

Sickening..I feel threatened as a black female. GNB definitely needs to make this more of a big deal..I don't feel safe and this is a major problem. Racism needs to stop.

Doesn't this man teach? Oh yes, he is teaching the public that the present school system has no qualms allowing their professionals to perpetuate hate speech; so cavalierly, with smug confidence of no repercussions. Oh yes, and since he is still working in this broken system, the message that resonates from his superiors is "He still fits right in".

Mr. Cabral expressed his feelings and as such I believe he is not appropriate to work in a school setting.
