Retired school teacher of 41 years Carney Academy NB Oakland & San Francisco public schools systems teacher of multi-cultural Ethnic students especially of African American Cape Verdean Hispanic, Vietnamese, Chinese,Cambodian Black & White Cultures ALL children are the same it is what they experience in youth that shapes and paves their futures,

The weak excuses that the school and uneducated people are saying such "it is a personal matter" and "this is he right under the Freedom of Speech Act" is UNACCEPTABLE. In a matter of weeks, there has been two educators one in Texas and the other in Maimi who were FIRED for stating racially inflammatory comments on social media. Where are the VOICES of our mayor, community leaders, city council, and organizations such as NAACP, and the Human Relation Commission. It is a shame that we entrust these organizations to host community events, etc, but when it is time to ACT and take a STANCE they are SILENT.. I urge all to unite under one campaign to begin to address the systemic and institutional racism, bigotry, etc in our city starting with revoking lLino Cabral's license, investigating the gross, mishandling of this incident, and overhauling Vokes' internal policy and practice to be inclusive and culturally responsive for both teachers and students.

I am a proponent of free speech and of peoples right to express themselves, but the comments shared by a person that has been trusted with shaping the minds of our children does not have the right to say the things he shared and still be allowed to teach my kids. And by "my kids" i mean every child that enter the doors of our schools. Gnbvt needs to remove this man. My experience is that people of such nature never change. They just say what you want to hear but they never change.
