We need people in charge of shelters that have compassion. They need to strive to reduce the number of dogs euthanized by community outreach via pet adoption events, development of shelter-home based fosters and approved rescue groups. Replace this manager that can meet these qualifications. People in Ohio are tired of reading about animals killed at this shelter needlessly, causing unnecessary harm. Most sincerely.

Things definitely need to be looked in. Why kill or think about killing dogs that can be adopted even with health issues? It's like they don't care and would rather euthanize.

FCDS is a hell hole! The top three paid employees are so cruel and heartless and the Franklin County Commissioners are the worst. I swear they all hate animals.

Please network these dogs more with local rescues. Give them a chance! Contact us in Lorain county, we will help and share our programming. It can be done.

I agree, this shelter is a slaughter house for animals. I network dogs in shelters trying to find rescues, fosters, homes to save lives. This shelter is a slaughter house and kills dogs without giving them a chance. I have seen ocassions they would euthanize them when a rescue had tagged them and was scheduled to pick them up. The volunteers work so hard to get them out of this schedule but the people in charge just wants to put them on the Urgent List rather than help the fur babies find a home or rescued. This has been a big problem with this Shelter for to long, and is not humane. This Must be Stopped!! This Shelter is well known as the slaughterhouse. Please Help These Innocent Animals live to find homes to love them. All Shelters must be regulated closely to avoid inhumane treatment and euthanasia of the innocence. We the People must be the voice for the precious animals. They cannot speak for themselves. Stop the abuse and killing!! Stop turning your back and ignoring this horrible situation.

This is unforgivable. All these dogs deserve & can be placed in suitable homes or rescues. Spend the time & money on placing them instead of KILLING THEM.
