I rescued a “viscous dog” named CJ 2 hours before he was to be put down at the end of July. He is the best dog I have ever had, & I’ve had 3 very good dogs in the last 30 years . He could use some training because he pulls on a leash when walking & barks when someone is at the door. When he realizes it’s safe to let them in he runs to get his ball to play with them . He tolerated my step kids dogs coming over politely even though he didn’t want to share his happy home. I dont necessarily want people fired if they can change their way Of managing the shelter. They arę filling the rescues with Franklin county dogs when other shelters need help too that don’t have the resources of Franklin county. A lot Of these problem dogs need training not euthanasia

They killed this dog pictured here. Infact Armi was someones dog that Franklin knew because they located the owners who was coming in for they're dog only to find her euthinizaed.

It was said the Director of Franklin County Dog Shelter is for killing dogs that are brought in. She removed the foster dog option as soon as she was in power but unknown how true?

Franklin County, in many peoples opinion, is in fact a high kill shelter. You repeatedly reach out to some rescues and give them hardly any time at all to get there in time. Your staff clearly needs to be trained better on how to handle animals who are stressed out because they are scared.

I donate for these dogs . It’s a shame that Franklin county can kill so many and not be held accountable. Someone needs to replace a few people there.

I have seen so many posts of dogs being euthanized at this shelter!! This is WRONG and needs to be investigated and cleaned up!

Animal shelters should do everything possible for pets to try and reunite them with owners or rehome them . The stay on pets should be longer so people can find their pets. STOP killing them!! And also these types of people should not be employees.

Accountability for the senseless death of Amari! I offered to foster this wonderful dog. She was absolutely NOT aggressive. Her blood is on the hands of the staff and directors of FCDS! This must stop!
