Fire Marvin Lewis
Marvin Lewis brought the Cincinnati Bengals back to respectability when he was hired after the 2002 season. Now in his 5th season, he boasts 1 division title, 2 8-8 seasons, and a TERRIBLE defense. His tenure has been marred by off the field issues and embarrassment for the organization. For all the talk of his defensive prowess, that side of the ball has perhaps been the only thing more embarrassing for the organization than the arrests. Marvin Lewis is not the coach to get the Cincinnati Bengals over the hump and into the Super Bowl. He has done an admirable job of turning around a franchise in disarray, but now it's time for him to go. Cincinnati fans are fed up with the way he preaches toughness and character, but does not follow through. Cincinnati fans are fed up with the terrible personnel and play calling on defense. These fans deserve a coach who will bring in admirable, talented players to bring a championship to the Bengals. Marvin Lewis is not that coach. Thanks for everything you've done, but it's time for the organization, and you, to move on.
