I do not believe I should be paying a criminal a salary. I am a taxpayer who believes in the law but this officer is a liar and if his job is to serve and protect then he is horrific at his job,he should be fired.

Shot TWICE. Didn't call in "shots fired". Told dispatch the suspect refused to get out after being shot in the neck. Didn't tell responding officers he shot him. Spent next five minutes casually looking for his shell casings. Didn't cop to shooting until prompted. This is attempted murder at the very least. Fire him and get rid of that DA, immediately.

Hold the public servants to the same standards by which we convict the guilty public.

Outrageous! Unbelievable, this type of thing can happen. ..The lies were uncanny both by the officer and the DA. I'm not blind..the officer never hesitated once...drew gun...stopped...aimed and fired...put gun back in holdster..If "accidental" he probably would have hit a tire?..I would say he was a darn good shot! It's truly a miracle he didn't kill him...he was aiming to kill. He never gave warning " stop" " put your hands up" nothing...then fired twice..I don't care what the DAs bogus report claims. He showed NO regard for the scene or human life, he was more preoccupied with searching for his castings with his flashlight, he lied to dispatch, and God knows what else he said because mysteriously the volume on the video was shut off for the public....Also, it looks like at the end of the video he was even wiping his hands or something? There are countless people serving hard time in prisons throughout this Country for far less crimes than this incompetent bafoon just comitted! If he gets away with this can you imagine......Of course he is going to say it was an "accident"...hello!

He can't get away with this. Jail time is what you get when you shoot someone.

What officer's first instinct at the scene of a crash is to shoot someone?

A petition should be started to remove the district attorney from office as well.

“When community members feel that they are not receiving that kind of policing, when they feel ignored, let down or mistreated by public safety officials, there are profound consequences for the well-being of their communities, there are profound consequences for the rule of law and for the countless law enforcement officers who strive to fulfill their duties with professionalism and integrity,” AG Lynch

This is sick and twisted. Any one who believes this is a justified action obviously has no knowledge on the judicial system.

A negligent, even accident discharge, at the scene of an accident where survivors might need medical assistance. Making the situation worse, he doesn't even tell EM Services while they are extracting the driver from the vehicle. Public service is too important to making a mistake at this level.

He made up his mind before he even stepped out of the car. No hesitation, no attempts for a peaceful resolve. Sickening.
