After a day of steelhead fishing on the American River, Officer Eric Cheing attempted to cite me for not paying $5 at the Nimbus Dam fishing area. He also threatened me for leaving the park after sunset, which was simply not true. In fact, I was hurrying to leave the park during a beautiful sunset, that I had photographed. He harassed me, demanded my driver's license and documentation, then threatened to have my car towed so I would be trapped 400 miles from home. Due to a clerical error at the DMV, my license apparently appears expired. I was left on the street without my valuables, medication, and with no help. Cheing then called another ranger, who had my $5 and proof that I had paid. Officer Eric Cheing is an incompetent, egomaniac who is a frustrated "park ranger," who really wants to be a cop. He is a harassing, dangerous menace to the rest of us law-abiding citizens. I am a 51-year-old disabled, single father who has never been arrested in my life. I have a perfectly clean record. I am an expert witness economist and certified to testify in Superior Courts throughout California, as well as U.S. Federal Court. I also have been a writer and photographer for Fly Fisherman, California FlyFisher and numerous other magazines. I have been a Pony League baseball coach, community volunteer, and an environmental advocate for California's salmon and steelhead fishing streams.
