Great guy, great recruiter. However, he is not a fit for Penn State football. Sick of the bullshot excuses about the rebuilding process. They have the player he just cant coach along with Donovan. Its just not Penn State football going 7-5, 6-6. I get the 1 year drought, teams have that. But for 2 seasons ending up bad, especially for this program, we need to move on from this coaching staff. You cant go on with this any longer. Harbaugh resurrected Michigan in 1 season. The program is losing money because of this.

Franklin must go. Coaches too. He is not a big time coach. Not a Harbaugh or Meyer. A great university like PSU deserves greatness at the top. That means Joiner as well. He is ill equipped with no experience. The Trustees need to spend the extra $3 million to get a Les Miles. We deserve it.

Stop with the good recruiter comments. The best way to recruit is to win and contend for championships. Let's see how good he recruits at the end of this year. He is not worthy of coaching a D3 team. He ruined Hackenburg. He could have 22 5 star recruits and with his game plane it would not matter. If he had any class he would step down. I would take the coach from LSU in a heartbeat.

Franklin is fraud and has done zero to develop a group of talented young men. He needs to go and will forever be just a footnote in our football program. Alums, townies, lettermen, and PLAYER FAMILIES have had enough! Maybe East Stroudsburg needs a coach! We could only hope.

It would be good for Franklin to leave now before he removes all doubt that he can't coach. I was at the Michigan game and the fans were in agreement that Penn State was probably stuck with him because no one else wants him.

It's time for him to go. He has proven he's not the guy that we thought he was. We didn't hire him and pay him all this money so that the team could be mediocre at best

James Franklin is a solid recruiter but he is incapable of getting the best out of his players. Just dropped a game to Michigan, PSU was held to 3 field goals on 3 red zone trips. Absolutely terrible!!! I know two seasons is not enough time but they continue to regress.

James Franklin is a great recruiter and salesman. His coaching resume is weak at best. Vandy was a perpetual cellar dweller and yes, he gave them a couple of winning seasons. However, he had no marquee wins and never even smelled the SEC championship. Penn State has a history of excellence on and off the field. Being mediocre and having 7 win seasons is not what we are about. The reality is that James, although a good guy, is way over his head. His staff is inexperienced in big time college football and it shows. What they did to Hackenberg is one of the biggest crimes in college football. Now Sandy Barbour, an other knee jerk hire, wants to reduce the capacity of Beaver Stadium. Has anyone looked at the mess she left at Berkley. Franklin's only response is "I'll wait until the end of the season to see what the attendance figures look like." Guess what James, when your program is no good, no one comes to games. It's time for Penn State to get over the guilt and continue the legacy of Joe Paterno. If Franklin can't continue the tradition, then he needs to go back to a program like East Stroudsburg. We deserve better.
