We need brush clearance beyond 100 feet from the house and all the areas near homes off Hillcrest/conejo School Rd and Reyes Adobe South.

I’d love to have the goats on the hillside behind Churchwood Drive in Oak Park

Mary, I agree that should happen but we are petitioning for the city of Thousand Oaks to clear more brush in our open space hills. COSCA ( Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency) manages the 15,000 acres of land and they contend that there has been enough clearance because they have satisfied the outdated, 1991, requirement of clearing 100 feet from a building. Just look at our hills and see all the fire fuel ready to burn our city down.

My home in Calabasas burned in the Woolsey fire 2 years ago and it may have been spared if the brush in the surrounding hills were cleared more by the city/county. I strongly endorse this request for maximum brush clearance as I am now living in Thousand Oaks Westlake Village.
