As a baseball purist, die-hard fan of the game, and avid MLB follower, it is time to provide an avenue to voice displeasure. If you watch Major League Baseball you have seen great umpiring, good umpiring, and terrible umpiring. If someone is consistently terrible at their job, they get fired. However, Angel Hernandez continues to plague the game with consistently terrible officiating. He truly is toxic to the spirit of the game, and his presence on the diamond frustrates players and coaches on both sides.
The purpose of this petition is to demonstrate to Commisioner Selig that we fans have had enough. Plain and simply, the guy has got to go. Despite repeatedly being ranked among the worst umpires in baseball dating back to as far as 1999, Hernandez still has a job.
By signing this petition you assert that the time has come for Angel Hernandez to be removed from his post as a professional umpire. For the good of Major League Baseball, and for the restoration of a semblance of purity that is absent when he is present.
The momentum behind this effort has reached a level I did not anticipate when I first drafted the proposal. It confirms that the desire for professional accountability in officiating is shared by a vast community of fans who value the integrity of the sport.

How does he keep his job? He makes Joe West look good...or at least better than average.

He makes more calls wrong than right. Fans cringe when they see him on the field. Then after making the bad calls he acts like an ass and makes himself part of the story.
Also, his lawsuit claiming discrimination is n embarrassment to civil rights.
Fire this man ASAP. If you have any questions watch the Yankees Red Sox 2018 ALCS game 3. You dont even have to watch the whole game, he had 3 calls overturned in the first four innings.

A majority of reversals speaks louder than anything else I could say here. Get him out.

Calling third strike bottom of the ninth to end the game when it was at least 8 inches out of the strike zone for a SD win over the Cubs. He’s on the take, has no idea what a strike zone, is a total fool or all three. Hernandez has to go.

It's time to get this guy who thinks he's the focal point of the game out of it.

Tired of this man's horrible calls. Almost everybody in baseball can not stand how horrible he is. And now they're letting him umpire postseason games?!
