We've seen some earlier projects but only after we've researched them on our own. Crest never mentioned to us that they plan to put such monstrosity in front of our windows. While this project could be seen as some improvement compared to previous ones, it's still very bad. Cramped, ‘heavy’, ugly, completely destroys the charm of Ingress Park and will cause parking, traffic, noise and safety issues. It’s clearly designed for one purpose only, cram as many people in small space to pocket as much money as possible without giving any considerations to the current and future residents, and the landscape. This move looks like they just want mess the place up as a goodbye, get the money, go and never come back.
We are not opposing further developments, weI just want it to be sensible, that will also give something back to the current residents in form of facilities and services, but not for the price of destroying the whole landscape and view along with devaluing their properties and area as a whole.
This is appalling project and we truly hope they won't proceed with it in its current form.

Far too often developers fail to deliver promises that are offered when you buy the property. I was told there would be a primary school built and a local shop. It is mis selling if they will destroy peoples river views .

Crest Nicholson have a history of selling property in Ingress Park promising river views - what they do not tell you is that it is highly likely that within a few years you may well lose this view. They have also consistently ignored the needs of local community and existing residents when it comes to parking, traffic, schools and other facilities that have been promised but never delivered. I am surprised at the total lack of cohesion between their plans and those of Paramount Park. Their bottom line is profit at almost any cost unfortunately.

I was pretty shocked by Crest Nicholsons proposal which I happened to see completely by chance during a quick call into the marketing suite. Really disappointed by the size of the apartment block and the layout of the town houses. To cut off the river for so many apartments is uneccesary and a real shame for the area. I really hope Crest Nicholson reviews this proposal and comes up with a better solution. I don't think many people are against development on the riverfront but these current plans really are silly.

Dartford council must have already agreed to these plans as they have put up notices stating that they are to close the river walk! This madness cannot surely go ahead! Once that beach is covered over in concrete it will be lost forever!

Completely against this development. The 16 storey block of apartments is ridiculous and vulgar. Crest have put these plans forward purely on greed and have not considered any of the residents already living there who have paid a lot of money for river front views which will now be blocked by houses and apartments. Parking will be even more unbearable than it is, traffic in and out of IP will be impossible and the idea of shops and restaurants being built is completely unnecessary. The noise from these and the number of members of public coming onto IP will ruin the privacy and exclusivity that the residents love. Completely against this.

IP does not need these extra 950 homes. We don't need the river view blocked. Not of this is required.

I think that the architects have failed to reflect the character of the area in these plans. Houses would looks better then apartment blocks as it would look like a gentle build up along the pier (adding character to the area) as opposed to a building being slapped down. A lot of potential for the final phase but a disappointing proposal. But then saying that builders tend to think about money as opposed to the tenants .

In the past, many aspired to live in Ingress Park. The problems with overcrowding, falling safety and security standards have resulted in IP losing it's appeal. I support this petition and hope that Crest Nicholson are smart enough to do the right thing.
