Final Phase development Ingress Park

A great friend just moved here in to her first home she worked so hard for. My friend should not have to work 12 hour days and come home to a spoilt view but deserves to come home to tranquility and peace and so should all other residents.

The view at Ingress Park is beautiful. Coming home to that view after a hard days work makes such a big difference. So peaceful and relaxing. Building new apartment blocks will restrict current residents including myself with this beautiful view and it will loose it's attractiveness which will be such a shame. Honestly I purchase the property with the river view which Crest Nicholson had and is still advertised on their website. So please consider the request of the residents who already live on this beautiful development. Thanks NH

I disagree to the 16 storey apartment block, this in my view goes completely against what is already on the development. Why is it around 9 storey's taller than any other block. If this was a smaller block then it would make much more sense.

Outrageous..people have paid a premium for the view ..which will now be obscured should this new development go ahead..so much for the promise of having views of the river ..& will be also be an eyesore not just to the residents but also to passers by as not inkeeping with the development

I bought my apartment two months ago, and although I was aware of the future plans for building, it was not to the extent that has been stated here. I have a first floor apartment with a river view. I moved here to have some peace and quiet from the rush and busyness of the city. These proposed plans will completely destroy a beautiful view, with immediate access to the river walk for leisure use. I am completely appalled by these plans. I agree with the comments above that there is a greater need for local amenities for current residents: where are the local shops, nurseries, and extra parking? Crest cannot keep adding to the building plans, and not consider how it intends to meet the increased demand. I am absolutely infuriated about the lack of consultation for those directly effected. I have been awaiting correspondence about meetings where our views can be shared. The fact that this information was not made more public (e.g. In the form of memos to those on the riverfront apartments), makes me very suspicious. Having just submitted by nhbc builders survey (praising the builder and the developers), I now feel like retracting this. I am totally against the proposed plans, and sincerely hope we all get the response we deserve.

I agree with the bulk of the comments here ... This proposal is incongruous and excessive in scale and density. The original design for Ingress park was award winning ,..something the local planners should also be proud of but additional development of this nature does nothing to commend either The planners or Crest Nicholson who , in my view should concentrate more on the quality of the build than squeezing every square foot onto an already overdeveloped site.

Here we go again. When is it going to stop. Having lived here for 9 years I have opposed many things but this has really got my back up. Not only is it a matter of parking. Have they thought out about the strain it puts on the public services. Money ,money ,money that's all they care about not the safety aspect. No shops,doctors or anything to help us. Just a community centre for everyone but us. What difference does it make Crest wants it they get it council will not say no dispite the fact there are other developing housing estates within the borough. Bad move on this one!!

I bought my flat in Clarinda House in February solely for the river-view. Had I known there were plans to block my view, I would have never have bought it. I am now considering putting it back in the market before its value plummets.

This next stage of development will have a negative impact on our already growing community. Parking is already an issue around here and this will clearly become more of an issue. The building will also be unsightly in comparison to the rest of the development. I think it's a real shame that Crest are chasing every pound they can get rather than considering the community we have. Crest also need to consider how they sold certain properties. How have they called this development for the past two years the pier? They guaranteed at least partial views when buying and this will eliminate all view. I wish crest would consider the people who are living here now.

I am disappointed by Cress Nicholson for what to date has been a sensitive development. The tower block is not in keeping with the style of the estate and is incongruous. It is not appropriate and far from balanced. The Tower block is too close to other blocks and will mean residents in The Pier will be overlooked and over shadowed. Whilst we understood development was to happen we did not expect it to be so unsightly and so ill considered.

This is awful. We would want to sue Crest if we lived in the flats that will no longer have a view. As for 16 storey high flats thought this was a thing of the past and they were being pulled down!!!

I am against such a large development on the actual river. Spoils the amazing, natural view currently available. I'm completely opposed to the high rise block of flats, unsightly.

I was a Councillor when the Ingress estate was presented to our Council on the basis of being a site of 1000 homes for the whole site! This added development is incongruous, greedy and an over development. The proposed towers will add to the existing negative 'urban canyon' that the riverside already has in this area.

I think this will upset a lot of residents and it will make a beautiful looking area an eyesore to passers by and the residents as well as destroying their beautiful view which most have paid a lot of money for their property for that reason

Did anybody in the 4 affected blocks get notification of the public meeting? Was it advertised on Ingress Park anywhere? It was on the Crest Nicholson website but I don't tend to look on there now I have bought my flat. I feel very let down by Crest - I have lived in my property for less than 3 months and surprise surprise no-one mentioned I would be staring at a row of terraced townhouses and a tower block from my balcony at any point during the sales process, not even the solicitor. (Who was on a list recommended by Crest)

Absolutely ridiculous.people who bought those flats paid a premium for the view which will be obstructed and be years of building works. You are just trying to extract as much money as you an from the confined space in IP without thought for the residents.

Sold with a promise of always having some view of the river.

No objection to extra building, but not huge apartment blocks,will spoil the area completely

It obstructs the views of the apartments previous Y sold with a site development plan that ensured them views which are now gone in the new version!

Very naughty, it's time crest started to keep its promises and what has our MP and councillors to say on the matter?
