Been living in Clarinda House for 6 1/2 years on the ground floor and love it here.This will change everything I love about it.We spend a lot of time looking out over the end of Clovelly Place at the River.Its the reason we purchased here not to mention what it could do to the property value.Will this make the flats on the lower floors loose value.If this goes ahead do we get compensation from Crest although how can you get compensated for ruining such a huge part of your life.?!

Good to see so many signatures! Keep it up! Don't be put off by negative rants from gutless anonymous lunatics who obviously need a referal to a mental institution! I don't care if they block my view it might help gaurd agaimst the wind! My point is that it's time to know when to stop building! Crest have done a lovely job up umtil now! My feeling is thay buiding on the river is a step too far. If you look down the river from the village you see the the curves of the river right up to the Paramount point. And the apartment blocks stand out majestically like cruise ships onthe ocean! There will ne plenty of other opportunities for Crest to cash in around the arra! We don't need restuarants, there are plenty and there woll be plenty more whem Paramount comes to town! We don't need a community centre either, there are enough halls to hire around here! But we do need a local shop that stocks things that normal people eat and not cater to the crack heads on the other side of the London road!

Not so. There will be a planning application for the revised scheme. This will give anyone who wishes to object the chance to do so. The revised scheme goes totally against the original proposals for the site which included making use of the views and vistas if my memory serves me correctly. Building a "wall" of houses between the river and the densest populated part of the whole development fails on every level apart from profitability for the developers.
"As a person who loves living here my only complaint is that the river frontage is not active whether developed or proposed. This is a wasted in my opinion, as Riverfront Bars, pubs or restaurants would really add to the area."
The original scheme provided such niceties and kept the whole river front fully accessible. Sadly the bean counters at Crest do not live here and have no interest in the people that do. Bottom line numbers are all that matter to them.

Show some respect to the people who have bought your properties already. We live in an over cramped estate already, causing neighbourhood disputes.
You are ruining a beautiful area with tasteless cheap looking flats. You started off so well with the development stop greasing your palms!

I am completely against these proposals as no consideration has been given to existing residents. The questions asked ref parking, increased traffic flow, river walks and views, environmental issues, wildlife and many more have yet to be answered. I believe that a more structured design to be in line with current buildings and existing residents requirements can be easily achieved.

Got a letter from Dartford Council, Mrs Sonia Bunn dated 2 June ref 142726 Dartford 7 stating that no planning application for THIS new changes has been submitted by the developer yet and they only one on file is the previous as by their ref 08/01601/FUL

Before buying a second-hand property on Ingress Park some 18 months ago, we did consider a new build and at that point, to be fair, the sales team made it perfectly clear that there would be further development that would block river views of some lower floor flats at the east end of the development. However, the new plans are not attractive, least of all the huge skyscraper. And, as someone else has said, the eastern access road should be a priority, for safety's sake if nothing else.

From my research the original plan for the remaining phase on the river was always subject to change due in part no doubt to the economies of constructing in this environment.
I guess Crest have done the sums and the originally proposed blocks do not stack up on paper so have looked at cheaper alternatives that will produce a profit.
The scheme they have come up with smacks totally of greed. Why else would they produce a plan that puts terraces of houses, that will no doubt sell for top dollar, right up to the water's edge?
This part of the development is the most densely populated but, if the scheme goes ahead, will have the poorest access to the river on the whole site. How selfish is that?
The only access to the river is down narrow alleys between the terraces? How long before the sides of those houses are covered in graffiti? How much use are they actually going to see from people visiting the river. Sorry Crest. We're on to you!

These latest proposals are a disgrace against Crest with regard to the properties already sold. These people bought in good faith that they would have a river view, in fact paid extra in some cases for this privilidge. These proposed plans should be ruled out completely and Crest should not be so greedy. There are already insufficient parking spaces on this development and these proposals will just cause complete chaos.
