As a San Antonio native, resident, filmmaker and now owner of a Grip and Electric company it is great to see us taking huge steps forward. We are not going anywhere. #FilmSA

As an emerging performer from SA, it would be ideal to have the opportunity to have my music videos and music productions created in an SA Production Hub to further showcase the rich artistic talent which resides here!

I especially agree with the film incentives to compete with other states. I think the film commission needs to be a department of its own so it actually has real power to help him community.

SA once got virtually all the LA feature work, along with a smattering elsewhere in the state. Once our "Texas" Film Commission came in to being, everything went to Austin. Sadly, as a result, SA no longer has the infrastructure, resources or personnel it once had to accomodate production. i.e. Not one single pro-level soundstage!? With Immersion/VR movies about to change the paradigm completely, I would hope SA can get involved early on and regain its place. Let's get behind this.

We have many dedicated artists here in the San Antonio Film scene. How else can we aspire and conquer our dreams without support. Film, Theatre or any form of art should not only be recognized I'm California or New York but everywhere. Texas is full of big and bright talented individuals.

Hopefully, all these issues can be recognized or fixed . It's time San Antonio gets some real recognition for all the dedication and hard work for the arts .

San Antonio is growing by leaps and bounds. We need to do what we can to make ourselves a more viable competitor in the film industry. Let's help bring the job opportunities home and support this proposal!

San Antonio would be a very strong venue for film with proper support--a diverse population, more stability in most areas than many faster growing cities, such as Austin--variety in architecture running the gamut--support this for its economic as well as creative impact

The best idea ever! Tourism and opportunity are relevant in Film, TV advertising and marketing opportunities! I whole heartedly support this idea. Destination marketing is real and when you show off your town, people get ideas either for a show and the above the line crew stay in your hotels while they work, then later people come to your town to see what all the buzz is. Do this! Succeed!
