I want the state to put more money into the ferry system and to convince West Seattlites that expanding the Fauntleroy dock would lessen traffic problems in the vicinity.

Remember that the Washington State Ferry System is part of the Marine Highway System. It is not just a fun tourist attraction but plays a vital part in the economy of Washington State. It should be fully funded and operated as efficiently as possible.

Please expedite the ticketing process and fill the boats. The current process is creating huge safety hazards on Fauntleroy, impacting the economy on Vashon and ultimately decreasing ferry business to Vashon from Fauntleroy. It seems as if the WSF administration has decided since the Vashon users complained about our inefficient process, we will get even and make their daily commute hell. Spiteful behavior, shame, shame.

We remember ticket takers at N end coming down the row of waiting cars along Fauntleroy to process more efficiently. WHAT has happened in the ensuing years???

The ferry system is an integral part of our transportation infrastructure, and MUST be funded accordingly. One of the roots of our current problems is our failure to upgrade the system to deal with the reality of modern "Pugetopolis" - that is the long term issue we must address. In the meantime, let us work together to improve what we have now.

Continual long wait times. Service that has been declining and getting worse rather than improving over time. Fill boats! People would rather see full boats than continued ridiculous wait times. Turn the ferries over to king county, they are wonderful with the water taxi service....

It is not saving money by running empty boats. The money you save by catching every ticket must be less than the wasted fuel

60 percent full ferries departing to maintain a schedule when there are 100 cars waiting in line to me is illogical

A majority of Vashon islanders have for generations commuted to the mainland for both work, education, health, shopping and entertainment needs. All these activities support the economy of the greater Seattle area. Cutting back access affects every aspect of our lives from getting to work and school on time to getting medical emergency assistance and everything in between. Limiting access limits not only islanders but the mainland as well. Thank you for your consideration. Best wishes to you! 98070-5334
