We, the petitioners, ask the Governor and the Washington State Legislature to direct WSF NOT to make any cuts or changes to the ferry schedule until a non-WSF governed oversight committee concludes that WSF has made filling boats and moving cars its primary goal and has tested the primary suggestions from its Advisory Committee and the community about how to more efficiently manage its Triangle Route Operations (such as express access for preticketed cars)

Note to petitioners: Please put your residential zip code in the comment box.

I honestly cannot believe we just hit 500 signatures on this thing. It feels like just yesterday I was sitting here frustrated at the dock watching empty boats leave while the line stretched forever and now look at all of you coming together to say enough is enough.

I've lived/had family on Vashon for years and watched the ferry traffic get progressively worse, even off season. It's insane that WSF is proposing further cuts to the ferry schedule, when the ferries are already leaving half full with the dock still full of cars.

98070. If the goal of not having a ticket holder by pass lane is not to miss revenue from inaccurate scanning, then fix the scanners. Half full boats do not create revenue and do not serve riders. Your loading system at Fauntleroy is broken.

Urging ferry users to buy tickets on line is useless. Last 2 trips I've taken on the ferry, I waited (with ticket in hand) for the car in front of me to purchase then discuss ticket, and count his change. Both times the ferry left while I was waiting in back of one car.

98070 - I depend on the ferries to commute to/from work and appointments. The current loading system on the Triangle route is not working, and any changes to the ferry schedule should be delayed until an oversight committee can recommend and test a more efficient system.

98070 ( Vashon resident since 1996)ferry service has steadily declined since then. We are not tourists, we live here and we can't drive around. We depend on timely boats. Express access for preticketed cars works! Please listen to us and our representatives.

WSF needs to put regular ferry customers first, instead of dead last after every other consideration. We need a traffic light at the end of the dock and a dedicated lane for pre-ticketed cars. Use ferry staff to sort the line instead of standing around on the dock. 98070

WSF should be ashamed of themselves that they have a such an inefficient loading system at Fauntleroy that boats leave half full when there is a lineup of cars on Fauntleroy Way waiting to get on. Use the ticket booths for selling tickets, not scanning passes. Have a separate line for pre-ticketed passengers. You’re smart people - figure out a solution.

The Vashon Fauntleroy ferry has reached the point that it is impacting commuting families and island businesses. There are many problems but #1 problem is requiring every car to stop at the toll booth even if you already gave a ticket. The lines on Fauntleroy St are Long Long Long but the ferries are leaving half full.
