This fence will be such a unpleasant addition to a place where dog owners on the vineyard and their dogs, have an escape! Planes are rarely there so it would be very unfair!

I have been walking my dogs at the park for 5 yrs . People are being respectful of the environment and staying on the path’s allowing the plants to flourish. Why not wait a few more years and then revisit the fence.

Tradewinds is beautiful this fall. No reason to deface it with a fence.

Year-round resident --regular user of Tradewinds. Fence that keeps dogs off the grass is not ok. People should be expected to comply with restriction to stay on path and should commit to self-police. A compromise single path cutting across one of the runways should be installed to add variety to available round trip walks.

We go to Tradewinds every morning with our two golden retrievers, Bonnie and Chloe. They love walking and running and playing in the park. They are also dogs who help the community as therapy dogs at Martha's Vineyard Hospital and nursing homes on the island. We are against a fence both as inconvenient and ugly.

Trade winds looks the best it ever has. A fence I unnecessary and overkill. Take that money and offer educational walks to educate tradewinds users about the protected species etc.

This unsightly fence is unnecessary! Please abandon your plans to erect it.

This park is the most loved and used piece of Land Bank Property on Martha's Vineyard. I have walked there for over 15 years and see each day how it provides recreation and companionship to a wide variety of islanders, seasonal residents and visitors. How wonderful that the money that citizens put into this property has such an overwhelmingly positive effect on so many lives. Of course dogs are the reason we all gather but these walks with friends are many times the highlight of our days especially during the sometime long winter months ahead. Please do not put up this fence. How inappropriate. In 15 years I have seen maybe 10 planes and many more deer in that field. These tiny footprints are small potatoes compared to bulldozing dunes and dredging waters for the sake of one homeowner or another. Please put the energy elsewhere on the island

I've walked there for years, am careful about avoiding erosion areas. The fence would be an unnecessary impediment and a waste of money.

Seems to go against LB goals. What's the point of preserving if you are going to then go and make it look terrible?
