The work active Stirling do in the community is excellent. They manage the facilities I use really well and I'd be really disappointed to see this move to a profitable organisation. I can't see how this would benefit the community, the staff or the users of the facilities. Leave it as it is.

I think Active Stirling have come a long way to helping get all ages of the community active. Renew their contract and let them keep up the good work.

This not only affects Active Stirling staff but other local businesses and partnerships. How can awarding an English based company this contract be good for the local area? How can this company meet the PIs of the Single Outcome Agreement? Being an English company - I'm sure that they will have different PIs to work towards and any profits will not be invested back into the Stirling area. How is it fair that the current administration decide the future of the fate of Active Stirling right before a local election? The current structure may not be in place come May and this decision may be rushed through because of this.

Active Stirling give so much to the community and the schools if this was to stop after all the 10 yrs hard work then this would be devastating to the whole council area

Active Stirling are a community based charitable organisation who invest in the community and whose priority is the people it serves not shareholders.

Keep all current staff in their jobs. No sackings or redundancy. Then you will prove you are a genuine respectable enterprise

Buggy walking was amazing - I would have really struggled without it - emotionally and physically.

I can't believe they are considering letting a company from England run our facilities, keep it local.

Active Stirling put a lot of money into Charities, a lot of work at Camphill. I don't see this company doing that. Also the Scottish Government have an absolute cheek going on about independence again when Scottish Council's are giving away contracts to English companies.

Active Stirling have done a tremendous job in Stirling Sports Village and satellite activities. The work they do in schools is invaluable. This is definitely excellent value for money. I cannot see another provider offering the same range and quality of activities.

Stirling Council did not need to tender this out. It is either total incompetence at best or a shady deal at worst. It would be interesting to see who the directors and shareholders of this company are to see if there are any links to council officers or councillors. It beggars belief that Labour under direction of the Tories are privatising this community asset. We all know private companies run things for profit so what's first? TUPE'd employees whose jobs disappear after a 'restructure' or higher prices for The Peak's users?
