I have grave concerns that the services provided by Forth Valley Healthboard, especially Cardiology Rehabilitation, may be seriously curtailed by this "development". This could have serious implications for the life and the well-being of many local people, myself included. Therefore, I urge Stirling's councillors to again think carefully before making a determination on this issue. Please don't break our hearts by playing politics with our lives.

The council are duty bound to consider all options where the public money is concerned and this is what they are doing here. By signing the petition we are just giving them an alternative point of view. Saying that, I have recently relocated to Stirling from Swindon where all the council run leisure services were sold off to private contractors one by one and the resulting service became expensive and poor and some eventually closed. Stirling have the best run leisure services I have ever seen in the country and I hope the council decide to keep things the way they are.

My children have benefitted greatly from Active Stirling staff going the extra mile to provide opportunities and encouragement in the community, I cant see a commercial firm coming out to local community centres

Active Stirling should carry on providing great service to my town, Stirling and the surrounding area. I'm a member at The Peak and quite frankly it is the best run, friendliest and supportive club I've ever been a member of. On top of that I am also a member of Stirling Bike Club and the help and advice that AS has shown to SBC is way beyond what there remit is. I implore Stirling Council to remember this during the process of awarding the new contract.

Where is Stirling Council's full and transparent public consultation prior to giving the contract to a PLC. Be warned Stirling Council that the voting public are not happy. RECONSIDER

Active Stirling are doing a fantastic job of running sports services in Stirling. A private company would jeopardise this.

Active Stirling do a good job at the moment. What safeguards have been put in place to ensure that the same community work continues and that costs to use the services remain affordable for local residents? Full disclosure and wider consultation should be given before any changes are agreed.

Stirling and surrounding area needs Active Stirling, privatising these amenities will deprive those who need them most but who can least afford it . It's unfair and not inclusive. This proposal should not go ahead !

Think this is ridiculous that the council want to give away the contract to a company that wants to make a profit

I think it is ridiculous that Stirling Council has not done a full consultation on this with us (the public) and are giving the contrat to a PLC

Active Stirling are amazing. The support shown to schools in the area is second to none, giving children to participate in every type of sport, help on sport days and a recent example has been the P5 athletics competition- outstanding. They are also central to football. Cannot fault the effort or contribution of each staff member. Please do not fix something that is not broken. VJ

The community should be able to see the terms of both tenders before any decision is made. As I understand it the new company has not offered their deal out for scrutiny-why? We should have that privilege before a vote is taken
