I think by placing the ban, you are taking away the families link they have made to their loved ones. What harm does it do? Leave them to mourn their loved ones, we all have different ways of mourning, no one way is right or wrong.

What a ludicrous, insensitive, waste of flaming resources ..are you going to clear the beach of pebbles and drain the sea in the name of H&S next?

How can this be a health and safety issue? Did ddc pay for these benches or flowers? Nope. Therefore they have no right saying family and friends can not put flowers on a bench that they have paid for that is not causing a risk. Pathetic

Thus is a ridiculous ban - some people need to pay tribute to their loved ones on certain days of the year x

How can DDC justify this! Leave people to show respect to there loved ones in a way that they and the public can admire and reflect on!

DDC should be chasing those responsible for fly-tipping and litteing rather than enforcing some micro H&S issue.

How can a person in a suit make this recommendation. Totally insensitive & how lovely do those flowers look. So get lost & come up with another bright idea to make yourself look good.

Even if the rite to establish a memorial to a loved one has to be paid for. there is a responsibility to clear up (just) before it becomes a faded eyesore, possibly a hazard.

Please reconsider your decision, so many people take great comfort in putting flowers etc on their loved ones benches. I'd like to see the risk assessment associated with this decision too. Madness, complete madness, and in doing so, you have upset many people, who are grieving for their relatives.

Flowers should be allowed on benches ,cannot see any reason why this should be stopped.

How disgraceful of DDC to try to implament this. Using Health and Safety as an excuse. Lets see all the documents to support their stupid decision. We shall ignore their threat every step of the way.
