Fight the ban against flowers on memorial benches!

I too have a bench on Deal seafront and get great comfort from going there daily and putting flowers on the bench for my mum. Rather than us having nothing on them, maybe we could have guide lines we can follow?

What a bloody stupid thing to do has the world gone mad!!!! I've never seen a untidy bench there all well looked after.

I can't believe the idiotic ideas of some limiting health and safety what trosh it's an insult to people who have a bench in memory of a loved one

I take flowers to my nan and grandads bench with my family. So there are never forgotten and we Alway get all the family together.

I think it's disgusting that with everything horrible that happens in this world people are being asked to remove flowers from remorial benches. Seriously what harm have flowers ever done yet they mean everything to those people that place them on the benches.

How stupid can H&S get?

Since when have flowers been a health and safety risk, the wor.d has gone mad!

Flowers on memorial benches are lovely and banning them beggars belief

Flowers and memorials on benches are in no way a health and safety hazard. No lighting is more of a health and safety concern. It is actually nice walking along seeing the small things left shows the loved ones are remembered

Show some respect and allow others to show theirs. It's not a police state.

This is a ridiculous idea. Let people grieve for goodness sake. Decorations are attractive and interesting anyway.

I can't see the problem they always look beautiful.

Let's fight this battle so we can keep up this memorial. My grandparents were cremated so their bench is the only place to lay flowers
