I too have a bench on Deal seafront and get great comfort from going there daily and putting flowers on the bench for my mum. Rather than us having nothing on them, maybe we could have guide lines we can follow?

I take flowers to my nan and grandads bench with my family. So there are never forgotten and we Alway get all the family together.

I think it's disgusting that with everything horrible that happens in this world people are being asked to remove flowers from remorial benches. Seriously what harm have flowers ever done yet they mean everything to those people that place them on the benches.

Flowers and memorials on benches are in no way a health and safety hazard. No lighting is more of a health and safety concern. It is actually nice walking along seeing the small things left shows the loved ones are remembered

Leave the family's and friends alone, they get such great comfort in placing flowers on there benches, Health and safety I don't think so what ever next I'm speechless get a life!
