Fight for Your Right to Buy Minimally Processed Pet Food

All my pets ( dogs and cats ) have been on raw food for years. They have been healthy and do better on raw then any other food we've tried.

My 4 pets are so healthy on their raw diets, and I know to clean my counters, utensils and hands after touching raw meat.

I whole heartedly support this. I think it's absolutely disgusting that the government are yet again enforcing things that keep us and our animals of ill health so we are always paying for vet and doc visits! Of course they want us to keep buying kibble, it means more money in their pockets in the long run! They don't want us to be healthy or happy, just brain washed and tied to the system. They need to be stopped. Good luck for the trial.

I love feeding raw food to my dogs and I should have the choice with no pressure from vets, companies or governments!

We want quality controlled species appropriate food for our pets. I only feed raw now with fantastic results. I will not poison my pets with commercial rubbish that is not controlled by FDA or AAFCO.

Been feeding raw 20 years with out any problems to us humans or our dogs. Hand washing, common sense cleanliness practice and proper refrigeration of the product is the key.

If feeding raw food to our pets is a problem then what about Kibble, isnt there a problem with it as well. What have they done to stop companies creating Pet food from garbage, they just lay down stupid policies and kibble companies have a good laugh and go around it.

There's more bad bacteria in kibble and canned food than has been found in raw foods and the latter is no different than the raw food sold for human consumption. Your accusations are baseless and seek to deprive people of the choice of feeding raw foods, so less healthy kibble and canned foods retain more of the market.

People are not idiots, and to patronise them by stating that they may be at risk of contracting salmonella is insulting. If good hygiene is followed when preparing raw meat for my dog or handling raw meat for my own consumption then the risks are negligible. My dog thrives on a raw diet despite having an underlying medical condition which may have been exacerbated by feeding her kibble for years and I would never return to highly processed dog food again
