Fight for Your Right to Buy Minimally Processed Pet Food

My dog was constantly sick on every high end pellet diet. On raw almost 2 years and not sick once!

FDA regulated ??? They want to take away our rights to feed raw so that we will only feed chemical infested garbage kibble ? That’s partly to blame why are animals are not thriving . Just like human food .

This ridiculous notion must be defeated!!!

I have the right to feed my fur baby as I see what’s the most healthiest for him.

Zero tolerance salmonella has no merit if it’s only there to condem raw food companies. Especially since dry kibble companies are a greater source of recalls due to pathogens such as salmonella. We are all adults and know the risks of owning pets that require foods high in meat protein. Which is why we should follow the same cleaning standards as we do for ourselves when handling raw meat purchased from the supermarket. What next? Will you ban the sale of raw meats at the supermarket? The number of consumers who feed dry kibble that don’t wash their pets bowls or anything the kibble touches is quite alarming. I think we already have better ways of preventing salmonella contamination and we should use them. If you ban commercial raw food companies from selling their safer than buying your own ingredients at the grocery store raw ingredients then you leave consumers with no options but to buy foods that have a greater likelihood of being contaminated with salmonella. And I’m sure that isn’t what we are after. Do the right thing and don’t make it so that commercial raw companies cannot sell their products which are proven safe balanced and healthy.

The FDA’s “no tolerance rule” on bacteria found in raw pet foods is beyond ridiculous. Raw meats will never be sterile. They need to determine a benchmark of safe levels of pathogens and back it up with research data.

Pet parents have the right to decide what is best for their pets !!!

After we lost our beloved Valentino while feeding commercially manufactured canned food, we switched all 5 cats to a raw diet. They are all happier, healthier and no longer require any pharmaceutical medications and rarely see the vet. There is no incentive for us to ever consider feeding commercial cat food ever again! The standards of the AAFCO are significantly lower than raw pet food suppliers. In addition, the commercial pet food companies determine and regulate the AAFCO guidlines to accomplish their own interests, so again no incentive to feed commercial pet food. But there's a much larger issue here....THIS IS AN OBVIOUS OVER REACH OF GOVERNMENT CONTROL!!!!

I feed my dogs a commercial raw diet Under the supervision of my veterinarian who fully advocates feeding raw food. They have watched my dog and my new puppy grow up and live on these foods without a single health issue ever in our household due to that diet human OR animal. I will stand against the FDA with everything I’ve got to make them bow down to our RIGHT to choose what we feed our pets.

this is absurd.. we must have th right to feed our pets what we feel is the best food for them, without big business and government trying to stop us

I have been feeling raw for fifty years with never a negative issue.

Please do not take away our right to feed our pets what we feel is appropriate for our animals!

My cats went from stage 1 kidney failure to totally fine because of raw feeding: it needs to be an option for those who want it. We are saving our animals lives doing this diet.

When it is proven to be beneficial to dogs to feed a raw diet. The choice to feed this diet should not be stopped!!!
