Fight for Your Right to Buy Minimally Processed Pet Food

I feed all of my dogs commercially Raw frozen patties. If the FDA prohibits the sale, I would most likely make my own raw patties, which could be more unsafe.

It should be my choice to feed my pets a healthy food.

I completely support the right to decide what we can feed. And I will continue to fight for that right.

Do not take away my right to feed my dog a biologically appropriate diet!!! I have been feeding my dogs raw for almost 20 years. The benefits of it over heavily processed dry food has been immense. Raw feeding has not been linked to the recent spate of DCM in dogs and my K9 cardiologist has confirmed that.

Please protect our rights to choose the healthiest options for our furbabies. Our animals are becoming as sock as the Americans who love them, from the junk food being sold.

Raw feeding saved my dog. He was constantly sick when eating kibble and ever since we switched to raw he is healthier than ever!

It is up to each pet owner to decide what (s)he chooses to feed their pet - not the FDA, especially as a balanced raw dog food is the best option. FDA should be looking closely at large, kibble companies and where their ingredients are being sourced.

For over 20 years I have fed my dogs a raw food diet - I have seen incidence of cancer, heart disease and general malaise decline significantly, and have seen general health and longevity increase. Raw food is not implicated in the DCM issues with grain free kibble. Please let us feed our dogs, as we feed our children, with minimally processed, whole foods.

This is against the law.... and it is transparent that the kibble manufactures who are owned by huge companies and pay off the government are behind the fda..... this country is a shell of what it was meant to be....

I have fed my dogs raw for 16 years and never had salmonella. I handle the food daily and am a 47 year insulin dependent diabetic, and I have never become ill from it either. There is nothing healthier than a well balanced raw diet for my dogs.

I believe people should have the right to feed their dogs raw diet if they want too that is the diet they should eat.

This bypassed overreach into ludicrousness. The vast majority who choose to feed their pets other than that which is made available from "traditional" pet food corporations do so for actual reasons and after considerable research into alternatives... the choice is made to best meet the needs of their pets, and often the choice is made with input from forward-thinking veterinarians. The more dangerous issues for pets are the FAILURE of regulators to to curtail products which have a documented history of harming pets (poorly produced jerky treats, pig ears, etc.). It is the job of those who formulate policy to address REAL issues, and not invent issues where none exist. Just STOP.

That is horrible. It has been proven benefits. You cannot continue to take away the rights of Americans.

It has been proven raw food is beneficial to canines. In the 25 years I have fed and studied the raw diets, I have never had salmonella illness and the dogs are healthier, living longer, and not getting most of the common cancers.
