NOBODY has the right to tell you how to feed your dog. If a dog was being abused, then I have no problem stepping in for a rescue, but someone giving their dog real food instead of process is doing something healthy for their dog, why would you even bother to stop it? Go out and help the abused dogs and leave the ones being loved alone. Sounds crazy to even have to spell that out to you!!!

This is ridiculous a balanced raw diet is the best healthiest thing a dog can eat.

I see more issues from canned and bagged food and treats than from any raw diets.

Feeding a species appropriate raw diet has helped with several health issues my cats have had over the years, and had helped them to become more active and healthy at advanced ages. Please do not do this.

I will always do raw, even if I have to go back to processing everything myself.

Thanks to raw I have saved a dog from deaths door and watched my pack thrive like never before! I choose what my pet eats not the FDA!

More research is needed before banning options that have been linked to reducing a slew of health issues in animals! Please do not ban raw food just because it sounds scary

Why take more of our freedom of choice. It’s the uninformed and the big dog food companies who want to take our freedom.

It’s my choice what I feed my pet. Not yours

Leave pet feeding choices be up to the owners. Should we stop purchasing raw meat for ourselves? No. Food handling safety is needed for either people or pet food. The FDA needs to figure out how to keep pesticides and preservatives out of the human food chain.

Cats and dogs are carnivores and Nature intended for them to eat raw meat, not processed, high carb commercial kibble or even canned food that is cooked at high temp which kills most of the nutrients so that synthetic nutrients must be added back into the food to make it nutritionally complete. Pet owners deserve to have the right to make the decision whether to feed a healthy, raw diet as Nature intended, or to choose commercially prepared foods. This option to choose what each pet owner believes to be best for his/her pet(s) should NOT be controlled by government or the pet food giants.

My cat has IBD, he got this over time from eating what the FDA and the AAFCO consider safe. Since I have switched him to raw, he is back to full health and is playing again at 14 years old. We need to be able to make this choice for our beloved pets.

I will always feed my animals raw food. It is better for them and not processed. Pet animal food corporations chemically treat all their food, it is not good for them I'm sure everybody here remembers the China scare we had a couple years back and frankly I still do. we have mega corporations doing this just so that they can increase their profit margin, and they are providing kickbacks to the lawmakers who are trying to make raw food and minimally processed pet food illegal

I feed raw to my animals for their well-being and demand the right to do so
