Fight for Your Right to Buy Minimally Processed Pet Food

I choose to feed my companion animals. and myself, the best food I can afford based on the most current information, as well as historic and common sense knowledge, gathered by individuals and groups who are also concerned about our environment, the sourced ingredient quality, the people who produce the food, as well as our best health. I am not interested in big ag and food producers controlled and funded research and testing.

Stop unfair and biased practices regarding raw dog food.

I am fed up with the FDA and am becoming so with all government regulators. I REFUSE to feed my dog the rubbish that Mars, Purina,Hills, etc is calling food. This over processed garbage from rendering plants or diseased animals or euthanized animals that has to be coated with sweetened slurry before a dog will even touch it, is causing illness and cancer in our pets. I doubt seriously that any wild animal would even touch this garbage unless in a situation that raw prey was unavailable. I have a dog that was sick for 2 years, while eating just about every brand of kibble or canned food that is on the market. After thousands of dollars in Vet bills, I switched her to a raw food diet. Well, guess what, she has flourished and is very healthy. I refuse to feed her garbage from the big pet FEED companies. If the FDA would do the job, that my hard earned dollars are paying them to do, there would be a lot more healthy pets in this country.

FDA, what if it were YOUR beloved pet that was affected by these rules?

FDA, please quit putting BIG BUSINESS ahead of my pets welfare!

We are watching what you are NOT doing to protect our pets' foods. Very disappointed in how you do not consider what is important. Are you taking bribes??? We wouldn't be surprised.

Why does it take these steps for our FDA regulators to do what is common sense and right in protecting our pets.

Let people make their own choices as to the food they feed to their animals..... We have seen how bias the FDA is and that they are in the back pocket of big dog feed companies.... It cannot be denied that dogs and cats are getting sick from the crappy ingredients in the feed mass produced by the big feed companies. We are watching how this is being played out.... Leave the small family owned companies alone to do what they do best, produce a food that is good & healthy for our dogs/cats. They are in business for the love of dogs/cats not about lining their board members pockets along with the pockets of the FDA. I for one have lost all faith in the FDA and some veterinarians, who by the way are not nutritionists. Pretty sure none of you would feed your kids the same cereal day in and day out. Especially if it was Trix for Kids..... I for one stand behind Answers Pet Food, and will continue to advocate them and other companies like them.

Please be compassionate towards the health of our pets. Do the right thing and let us feed them what is good and nutritious, not what's good for your pockets.

Please sign this petition. It's time for the government to quit telling us what to eat as people and how we can feed our pets. They are only concerned about their pocketbooks. I saved both of my dogs health by switching their diets to raw. I don't want them telling me or anyone else that we can't feed our pets what we want. Please sign. THis small family owned company has done their homework and is now going up against them for all of us.

Government and Big Industry has made all of us including our pets sick for too long all in the name of money. THey don't care at all how it affects any of us...only their pocketbooks. Let people make their own choices about what they want to feed not only themselves but their pets as well. One of my dogs rear legs keep shaking after taking a flea drug prescribed by the vet. The vet wouldn't dare admit it as a cause. Later both of my dogs kept passing blood and had gained a lot of weight. I decided to change how I was feeding them. When I switched them over to a total raw food diet, they both stopped passing blood and his legs stopped shaking! I know it was the food because when I gave them the former stuff again to use it up, they both started passing blood again. No mystery there! Thanks for standing up for the truth and for our rights. I am behind you all the way!

I have been feeding a raw diet to my dogs for at least 12 years. Either I made it myself or I purchased it. Don’t these people know that you handle a raw food pet diet the same as you handle raw meat before you cook it?
